Pioneer in Hospitality Education- IHM Pusa

There are 4 semesters in this post graduate degree program. There are two specialisations- hour and Sales & Marketing. It is driven by research, given industrial exposure with its mandatory mentorship program. Many guest lectures and workshops are organised for benefiting students.

A large number of hospitality and corporate companies hire students for the mentorship program (internship). The college is placement driven. Many students wish to pursue academics as a career so they are helped a great deal as well.

Conferences, open mics, theme lunches, hospitality fairs, seminars, guest lectures, documentary screenings, career fairs, sports day, annual day etc are organised by the college regularly. Students participate with much excitement. IHM Pusa does participate in Bharat Parv and Paryatan Parv.

It is about 50000 per semester to be paid online. Yes there is transparency in fee breakdown. They do take 4000 extra for admission. Lunch fees, academic fees examination fees are among some of the different types of fees included in the total fees charged by the college.

No I have not availed for an education loan. Scholarships are availed to students of certain communities, genders etc.

Campus life is very lively. Gender ratio is 40:60. There are a lot of societies in the institute. A lot of competitions and events organised by the different societies and clubs. It is quite liberal and broad minded. The student teacher relationship is very healthy too.

No. The girls hostel is in campus. The hostel rooms are on sharing basis. Hostel fees includes laundry and dining fees. The boys' hostel in campus is for Freshman year students of Bachelor's program. Rest students can avail hostel facilities at NCHM/ICI hostel in Noida. There are many PG/Flat facilities in Todapur, Inderpuri, Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar, Shadipur etc. The areas of Shadipur, Todapur and Inderpuri are relatively cheaper with average shared accommodation at 4000 per month. It is around 7-8 thousand rupees in Rajinder Nagar and Patel Nagar.

PIHMAA is the Pusa Institute of Hotel Management Alumni Association. They organise events and support students and alumni.

NCHMCT conducts JEE thourough NTA. Top rankers get the option to choose IHM Pusa. I opted for this course because it gives me an edge over others in terms of hospitality. A selected list is published by the NCHMCT for all institutes so that rank holders can report physically for admission.

There are 4-5 lecturers in each semester. Some of them are guest and adjunct faculty. Most of them have PhDs and are research oriented. They're either specialised academicians from reputed institutions or industry experts of a particular subject matter.
