Remarks

It is a really good college for MBBS degree academically and research basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The exam curriculum consists of practical as well as theory. It spreads around a 10days with internals conducted all across the semester. The year is divided into semesters with final evaluation being normalized across the batch. Apart from this, the practical exams are conducted with live cases given according to incoming patients in the department. This helps us develop critical thinking and act according to the situation.

Placement Experience

5

There is no concept of placement in the college. Although, we thourough a mandatory internship after our final year which is a requirement for course completion. Students can seek placements on their own in other hospitals or go for higher studies.

College Events

4.5

There are Sports day, Kannada Habba, Cobalt ( Intercollegiate fest). They are conducted on a large scale allowing students from all over Karnataka to participate. There are hostel fests conducted monthly allowing interactions across batches and facilitate conversations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The MBBS degree has yearly fees to be paid. The additional charges include hostel and exam. Apart from this, miscellaneous charges is collected on semester basis to be paid at the beginning of the curriculum. There is little transparency in the breakdown, but not complete.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, i haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan. Since it is a government college, the fees is really low and can be paid by my family.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is a little skewed with more number of boys in the campus. However, the college ensures that there are regular fests and extra curricular activities to keep students entertained and involved in holistic development. There are students from all across India.

Alumni/Alumna

There is not much of a alumni network concept prevailing in the field. Although, students pursuing PG in the college are very helpful and approachable.

Admission

I wrote NEET in order to get into the merit list and then went thourough counseling session according to rank to get a final call. NEET is an all India exam, which can be taken by any student with Biology background. The rank is then provided on the basis on marks and allocation done accordingly.

Faculty

4.5

The number of lectures in a subject highly varies according to the course. Some of the final year subjects are being taught since second year. So the total number of lectures can vary from 60-70 as per requirement with practicals being taken care thourough postings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.
