College was good in terms of education

On positive side academics laboratories and faculties are very nice. However on negative side college dosent do well in placement also they have too much decipline in college because of which students many times feel like they are still in school only.

Overall chamelidevi college was known for its academics, equiped laboratories and decipline. I am very thankful that I had completed my course from this college because of which my knowledge regarding my deciplne is very thorough and practical. Almost every experiment was performed by us in presence of the faculties and lab technicians.However their was one good thing they always use to take viva regarding the experiment individually before they allow us to perform it practically which always ensured that every student was having theoritical knowledge about the experiment which he is going to perform on that day. Because of which many of our topics were being covered as per exam point of view.

Talking about placements I would say that it was just okay. As famous companies like tcs, Infosys etc. Never comes to this college. Also the companies which came during my final year were not promising enough as they provided very poor packages.

In first semester of each year their was national level techfest Citronics which was organised however they use to organise sports weeks and sinchan (cultural program at college level) in 2nd semester of every year

Fees was moderate in comparison to other private colleges. Here in 2015 fees for academics + bus was amounting to 65k to 70k per annum in which bus fees for whole year was 10k. However here person belonging to obc sc or st they were entitled to get scholarship under govt. Schemes.

Students belonging to Sc /St/obc(non creamy) use to get scholarship on academics fees under govt. Scheme. They use to receive and amount of 18000 per year from government every year. However this scholarship is available in every engineering college of MP

In this college they have 2 auditoriums, 2 badminton court, 1 volleyball court, one ground for cricket and football and one kho kho ground. However college mainly focus on academics but students who are good in any of the field they have make their own efforts in their field however college tries to support financial end but don't keep high expectations. Till I was in college we have to take lead whenever it comes go for any sports tournament or cultural events. They do support you if you win in any of the field but you have to proove yourself atleast once then only they will support you.

Interaction policy with seniors was very bad. as college doesn't even allows fresher's party however some time some branches use to conduct unofficial fresher's party outside college but on part of college their was no such efforts so that fresher's can have interaction with their seniors. However now college is taking alumini meets on periodic basis but on my opinion it was not good till 2015

I got selected in chamelidevi college on the basis of marks secured in PET exam. However their was no interview just I have to attend online counselling on the basis of which as per my rank I got this college with branch as electrical and electronics branch. However this branch is no more available in this college now.

Faculties were really very helpful and also college always tried to bring beat faculty on their end. We were able to have a good student and teacher relationship but however their were 2 heads in college registrar and academic head who was not at all good or acceptable by students of whole college apart from. Them every faculty was very nice and helpfull
