Awesome college

Admission was through centralised allotment process. I got admitted on the second allotment. CMS is one of the first and leading colleges in India. That is why I opted for CMS.

The course is titled Literature, Communication and Journalism. As the name suggests it is a trilple main course. Along with literature studies, it focuses on developing communication skills and journalism studies.

There is a dedicated career guidance and placement cell, which was started only recently. Apart from that, our course offers one month each of internship in the third and fifth semesters. The stipend is fixed by the companies in which we work.

As mentiones earlier, the campus placement cell has only been started recently. But as for its part, the cell is performing pretty well. As for now, the Njan placemnts are not so good.

Our college celebrates many events. There will be at least one event every week. Events are conducted by various departments, the college union, and also plays host to many national events.

Our college is a goverrnment aided college. But there are many self financing courses, like in our case. But it feasible compared to other colleges. We are required to pay 11,800/- INR by the start of each semester.

There are a few scholarships offered by the management for deserving and meritorious students. Also, there is a dedicated cell to guide students on gaining access to government and various other scholarships.

Alumni associations are held every year by various departments. There is a considerably working network of the alumni. The senior students are very friendly, in contrast to what is seen in other campuses.

Semester exams are conducted by the University. Internal exams are conducted before every semester ends. The exams are usually chilled out, but the university is not so punctual with the schedule.

The faculty is excellent. Most of the professors are PhD holders. Most have a lot of experience. Also their are many alumni of the college among the faculty.
