About my college

The college system here is totally corrupt. There are a few colleges where marks are given more in practical exams so the qualify for University. These colleges have teachers or scholars from the university itself. So the fix everything. It was a night mare

Yearly system of examination. Internally corrupt system of practical exams. However the curriculum was fair enough with respect to the course. The teachers are less qualified all thanks to reservation. The equipments handed to us were not good during examinations.Since there are no campus placement do not really know if the course was groomed accordingly or not

None of the companies visited the college during the final years. Had a very feeble knowledge about placement and colleges. Was only handed a degree after the 3 year course.

No such festival took place during my college days. The college was very passive in even arranging seminars for the students. No active participation. This college only hands out degrees and we are on our own. Doesnot provide information regarding anything.

Feasible. Being a Government college located in Siliguri. The fee was minimum. No additional fee was charged except for the examination fee before the exams. Yes the college is transparent regarding the fee breakup. For a year it was around Rs2000. No extra charge during admission.

No I did not opt for any scholarship. I did not know anything regarding how to opt for a scholarship.

Campus life was not good. The college was situated around 1500m from the main road with no travel facility till the college. Gender ration however was average. No such intolerant behavior while I was there. Lab was good. No sports facility. Extracurricular activity was hardly conducted.

No I did not opt for hostel as I live near by. Also the college did not have any hostel facility. The college did not even have a good library back then. Though the college has a good library now. Still hostel is not there.

No they weren't. Hardly knew any of them. I guess most of them had poor experiences themselves. Never expected help from any.

Wanted to take environment science but the course was not available so opted botany. Filled the admission form online. Got the counselling date. Attended the same. Got into the course. Being a government college. This was my choice. Couldnot afford Delhi.

Not at all good. There was only one lecturer during the first year. However the number of lecturer increased to 4-5. Nope industrial or research oriented knowledge was totally missing during the classes. Had to search on my own how things work. Not at all a good experience.
