Remarks

College management is so strict. Also you are not allowed outside the hostel after 11PM thats very bad.

Entrance Preview

I got admission through ITT JEE entrance examination. In counselling round i got this college. As this is one of the best college and my branch is one of best earth science branch of the college, so i choose this branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well, there is so much to research in mineral processing related to flotation, smelting etc. Other fields and has wide scope in foreign also. You can prefer higher studies with this branch as there is so much to research. Faculty of college is very supportive. Curriculum is modified accordingly to companies need yearly. But there is no such toughness in this branch. You will enjoy your college life after taking this branch. Also students are involved in different socities event organised by department.

Internships Opportunities

It's quite good. I completed my internship from vedanta resources company HZL UDAIPUR plant. On first day they provide us identity cards and then take us for visiting plant and told us how plant was operated. And after that mentor was alloted for project work. At the end of the day we have to sumbit our project work to the HR of the company.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is good in campus. Different types of companies visit campus for recurment process such as financial companies like Walmart, Future first, Mu sigma etc. , Consultancy companies TATA consultancy services etc. And core companies Like tega industry, Mecon , Nmdc and so many.Package ranging from 5-15 lakhs per annum depending upon type of company.

College Events

In college all festival are organized at huge level. So much colleges from different cities join the fest. CONCETTO, Technical festival is organized in October month.Parakram, Sports fest is organised in Feb month. And finally the most awesome fest of college is SRIJAN, the cultural fest in which so much celebrities came to perform.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarships are provided for students having GPA 7 or above in their academics.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. Gender ratio is very low because of IIT. Other all things are good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. Fees is low as college is government funded. Mess food is same as other mess food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The best alumni network is present in our college. And senior junior relationship is very good.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director.
