Remarks

College is overall good in prespective to studies, sports, extra curricular activities, The only thing which i found bad was lack of professional training that should be given to students which can help in future

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course structure is good as a whole but in prespective of research its not that good. I had 2 inter semester examinations and one semester examination which was not that much hectic and labs were chilled.

Placement Experience

3

Placements were not that good, can say about 65% students get placed, some goes for further study in foreign countries like Canada,Australia, USA and goes for bussiness. Companies like TCS,Infosys,Accenture Mahindra and Mahindra, etc visit my college.

College Events

4.5

Every year there were many fest organized in college. Tech fest, cultural fest, Annual sports meet, etc In 2018 i had organized a tech fest in college in which there were a lot of tech events in feilds like electronics, civil, cse,it

Fee Structure And Facilities

1year fees is approximately 1.2 lacs including tutuion fees and hostels fees excluding the mess food bill. So engineering have 2 semesters in a year 1 sem- 62000 2 sem- 50000 So these all include tutuion fees, library fees, and others.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were scholarship only for fancically aided students and regional students. There were no loan availability in college. Fees wasnot that high as compared to other private colleges and my college is a government funded college so thats why its fees is low

Campus Life

3

College is full of diffeerent societies in which any one can be a member and a lot of inter societies events occurs within a semeter. Not only societies but also lot sports like cricket, football, hockey, kabdi, etc

Hostel Facilities

3

Since my college was established in 1957 so hostels were not that up to the mark but it was good. Every year 1,2,3,4 students have separate hostels so,hope of ragging and all that shitty things. So annual fees was 20,000 except mess food bill.

Alumni/Alumna

Very good network of alumini one can easily find out on LinkedIn most of them are bussinessman and others are government employees at very high positions. Overall experience of mine was good I made a alot of good friends.

Admission

I was shortlisted on the basis of merit list and my course was Electronic and Communications Engineering.I am very much interested in mathematics and physics so thats why engineering and ECE is a very interesting branch of engineering in which i was mainly interested in circuit designing and radars.

Faculty

3

In my department maximum professor were PhDs so there were qualified. Some teachers had a good teaching style and some donot have, but each and every profressors had a knowledge of there subject. One more point some profressors were friendly and some were not erveryone knows typical professor behavoiur.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
