Remarks

The administration is really messed up and that becomes really problematic. Overall, I’m happy with my college life and education.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The first year was a foundation year where we did mainly hands-on skill learning and “un-learning” of everything we didnt need. We didn’t do much course related study at the time. Second year however was very focused, we got to pick our classes. We have a system of major and minor credits. We get to pick a variety of courses provided we complete the ones essential to our major course. The classes have been really focused so far.

Placement Experience

3

Srishti does not provide placements. There is a cumpolsory internship to be done in the third year, they help us out with relevant industry names.

College Events

2

Srishti does not conduct a lot of events. The only event we have is Garba night, talent night. It does however have a student body which is not affiliated with the college that has organised music and art fests in the past. This body is independent on Srishti however.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual fee is approx 500, 000. Which they take in a lumpsum in June. Apart from that, the PG fee is around 150000 a year which can be paid in 8-10 installments. The average expense of students here monthly, comes to around 5000-7000. There is also a one time 50000 at the time of admission. It is overall pretty expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Srishti does not give scholarship. I had mailed them asking about the same and if they could make any arrangement since the fee is pretty high, but the response was negative.

Campus Life

1.5

Srishti doesn’t have a campus. And so we don’t have a campus life. But we live in Yelahanka and the whole area has become a sort of campus, because there are always known faces around when you step out. The boy to girl ratio im the batch is around 1:2. We have people from various ethnicities, sexualities, erc. And it is a safe space for all without any judgement.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college doesnt have its own hostels. It does have a number of PGS affiliated with it. I live in a PG, in a twin sharing room. We have a bathouroom inside the room, two beds, two tables and chairs. And a kithenette for the flat with an induction. We can give our laundry twice a week, and are provided with 4 meals of the day.

Alumni/Alumna

All the students of Srishti are very helpful irrespective of which year they belong to. They’re always there to answer our doubts and share experiences.

Admission

I opted for VCSB as that is a fully graphic related course and I wanted to persue graphic design. The process was a 3- round enterance exam. Round 1- GK questions and some drawing based questions (1. 5 hours). Round 2- Topic was given before hand and we had to draw on it. Round 3- group discussion round and creating a final outcome based on the discussion in 20 mins.

Faculty

3.5

Almost all the faculty is extremely experienced in terms of industry. They have been either in either direct or indirect contact with well known people from the industry and have worked with them. However, not all of them are able to pass down their knowledge with the same ease of learning. Some faculty members are laid back, we don’t learn much unless we push ourselves to go to them constantly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would give complete 100 marks for my course. As the artificial intelligence is trending and most used now, the scope for my course has been increased rapidly. This was one of the reason why I opted for this course. We will be given three internal exams in one semester and two internal lab exams in one semester. We are continously involved in workshops ans seminars to gain knowledge on real world applications along with our academics.
