Remarks

College is best college in my area goverment undertaking college but toilet is unlike 212 rooms avaible but 10 toilet avaible.

My college is best college in overall tamilnadu state college aim is distribute the best student in every year so college fees is low no donation exam fees only paid. College corresponding is dicipiline and truely +2 high scorer student get scholarship and many other fecilities here i like this college goverment approved and goverment undertaking college.

Course Curriculum Overview

At my small age I love mathematics so I choose mathematics subject my college teacher good teach me so easily unter standing in any subject every semester I score 80+ mark overall 84.50 % marks in passed out college is full approach me So I participant in many other competition i love my subject.

Internships Opportunities

I participant in many sports in my college level i am win medal in many running race internship championship win my college in competition. I am basically running champion in at my small age.

Placement Experience

I am 84.5 % mark in overall semester so I easily found job in any area i am one year rest in my home after I found job i am found good job and Good salary job selected i will selected job after my lifestyle change my family level is changed my aim is one big house and car.

College festival is beat party to the in my college onam celebration, pongal college day many function are at time many of cultural standing i am participant many competition win medal many i am really love my college many cultural program in my college.

High score students get scholarship in my college every year 1000 more students get scholar ship in my college my college principal is nice person.

College aim is best quality student distribute him every year many student passed out the campus interview after our life style is changed last 10 year student high-leve in social my senior student is good discipline student in teaching method is new teacher good approach student college sports are main sports person good approach the college committy.

College hostel is good locate him very atmosphere college fees us low 1700 in 2 month mess up wsuper food are tastey and healthy I love food in mess college hosted bathroom wash room toilet locate in every place every room toilet attached and many more fecilities.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Likes

System and the Rules followed in this college
Hierarchy system such as committe heads, cadet captains etc
Infrastructure mainly the football and cricket turf

Dislikes

Punishments, because you will get punished when one of your batchmate did anything wrong
Compared to other colleges himt is not celebrating that much for festivals
Regular musters, You will have to attend minimum 3 muster a day

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management

What does my college given to me.

First of all i prefer this college for its fees structure. Because it had mos. number of facilities in it but they offer it for low cost. Second thing the placement of a college , it located in center of a city and good transport facilities over there so it makes students more comfortable. Third the staffs whom teach us very well particularly in my department physics one or two people struggle to taught that but most of them are good. Then the campus provide you free wifi .
