Remarks

Generally this college is very good for studying and enough facilities and staffs are there. Management is good and arrange enough facilities. No significant problems and can be selected without hesitation.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam was held. I was selected only based on Higher secondary score. My HSc marks was 86%. I chose to join this college because it is best govt. college of nagercoil.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum was not very tough as I expected to be. However, it is not easy as well. But the curriculum and exam can be managed with some effort and preparation.

Internships Opportunities

I did not receive any stipend from this college basically because the expense is very less and several practical reasons. Internship laboratories were well equipped and spacious. PG and UG labs were separate. Sufficient space and well equipped for students. Teknopark came for campus interview at that time. However, now i heard lot of IT companies and many other companies are coming.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many of us including me where placed in different schools and colleges as staffs through the campus interview. As i mentioned earlier Teknopark was the company which came as I remember. Job opportunities are much now. They gave 8000/9000 Rs at that time.

College Events

2.5

I used to participate in all the cultural events. The cultural events held in college usually will be big bash manner. Since it is one of the big colleges of the surroundings of south India, festivals are arranged in grand manner with management support.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very less as I studied in govt fee structure. There are self financed classes also. It is a separate block. They pay around 8000 rs while I pay 800.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarship or loan facility. As far as I remember, scholarship was available for phd students. There are no scholarship for other specialities.

Campus Life

4

Generally girls ratio will be more as it is arts and science. 1 boy : 2 girls will be the ratio. Generally environment is good for studying. No other disturbacne and party culture was not prevalent. Daily prayers are there as implied by the college name, hindu religion. But not much stresed on the religion.

Alumni/Alumna

There are no much alumni network at my time. However, it is a very old college and very much famous. So obviously students have more impact and tend to get selected based on college name.

Placement Experience:

From the last previous semester, students can avail themselves of campus interviews. Students who have Harriers are not given opportunities because it's in the companies criteria. Cognizant, Zoho, Infosys, Wipro. Every year at least 10 students get selected. Average is 10,000-15,000 per month 10-15% of students getting placed. I plan to study for competitive exams like UPSC.
