Remarks
You want to study hard and land a good job, you should give this college a try, but if you want to enjoy your life and get different life experiences.
Entrance Preview
Took the AIEEE as much as I can remember, I got a rank of around 64000. The admission process fairly simple. Get a rank. Check whether you clear the cutoff. Go with the documents for enrollment. Let me tell you, when I opted for this college, it was known as ITM Gurgaon & not NorthCap University. I opted for this college, just because it was near to my place, and showed a lot of promise in terms of placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was never the kind of Co-Curricular guy so naah. . I cant recall the course curriculum, so i would say it was as any other good college would have it. Although what I liked about the college was a simple fact that it did allow us to focus on the extra-curricular as well.
Internships Opportunities
i didn't pursue my internship with the help of my college. Although they were offering a great lot of it, so i think me getting 10K or 15K as stipend wouldn't count under the college's interning stipend.
Placement Experience
The placements and the job opportunities at my time were really bad, as only the bulk companies (TCS & Infosys) came and took in most of the IT & CSE students. But it has improved a lot in the years to follow.
College Events
We had the Momentum (Cultural fest) & the Cerebration ( Technical fest), which were celebrated like we celebrate Diwali and new year in India. I don't think I need to explain what a cultural fest looks like (fashion shows, dance, modelling-ramp walks, singing, sharing experiences, calling a fancy singer(Honey Singh/Mika/Bali Sagu) or a band(Bombay rockers), but I would like to mention, those who are inclined towards the technical guy inside them, should really participate in the Cerebration.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee Structure a my time was 86,000 per year, but i think it has now increased to around 1.6 lac per anum. It will be a bit too steep for some, but when you actually start with the college you will have the feeling of "PAISA VASOOL"
Fees and Financial Aid
Can't recall any, but yes some students did get a scholarship and they had to maintain a certain percentage to keep it going. I don't know maybe the current scenario has changed or not.
Campus Life
As I had already mentioned, the college did not only focus on the curricular part but did also help us out with the Extra-Cirricular. We had our Sports day, which was like the best event even better than the cultural fest.
Hostel Facilities
I was never a hosteler, but if I had to quote one of my friend, it would be "BC, bohot time limits hai yaar, bohot nakhre in logon ke". So in short it is like any other hostel. All of us had our meals either in the college canteen which had awesome food, or we went our to sector 23 market, which would help us out with anything we need - drinks to get a hangover & ones to relieve us of it. So, NO I don't really know anything about the mess food. P.S. They don't give hostels to students who are from Delhi & NCR region.
Alumni/Alumna
The networks is quite good they keep a record of the all the students online on their website, so you can look up the students over there, and they do keep hosting regular alumni meets to keep us all connected and to make us share our experiences.
Exam Structure
Although no one, and I know it that NO ONE likes exams( yeah right, not even the studious ones), but my college followed a pretty simple exam pattern. Half way through a semester, give minor 1, 3 quarters through the semester give minor 2 & then finally, give the Major(final) exam. If this was not enough you had regular assignment submission(copy + Paste) and surprise test (Yessss They were always a surprise. The day you think of bunking / or you actually bunk, you will get to know that the professor took a surprise test).
Faculty
Almost 90% of the faculty was really understanding and helpful, but as every institution has it, there were professors who would like you suffer.
