Remarks :
The College management overall can be rated 6 out of 10. When I joined the College it was on a major construction phase with a lot of amenities being built with vast facilities and my batch was not able to use those facilities till we passed out from the College. The teachers were really helpful and overall it was good to study in Naipunnya College, Koratty, Kerala India.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course was mainly based on commerce and Finance. All accounting and tax papers provided a good base on various topics which was very helpful for me in gaining vast knowledge on the industry and other specific topics. Also after the course duration, a campus placement was conducted and various companies had come and we were able to attend that a get placed. There was an industrial visit in the last semester of the course duration.
Placement Experience :
Our college had a vast placement drive held during the last semester of our graduation phase. Many companies had come offering various salary packages to the students such as TCS, EY, KPMG, Holiday Inn for the Hotel Management students, etc. Our college had conducted a seminar for the students on how to face an interview and what all tips students should remember while attending an interview.
College Events :
There was a Management fest held every year with the name 'Lakshya'. We also had 'Avani' celebrations as a part of Onam, a traditional festival. We also had College day is celebrated every year. We also had a Social service day named Sargasangamam. All these events had great participation and the whole College took part in these events. We also had specific days for Arts and Sports events conducted annually on basis of 4 groups divided among students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Our program fee came to around 125000 and the mode of payments were college-provided challans to students and we had to make payments directly to the bank before the due date. The college had provided a majority of seats for various graduation courses on basis of merit and few seats on the Management quota. Those students who joined in the management quota had to pay an extra deposit upfront which they were paid back at the end of the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I didn't opt for an educational loan for my graduation. The College didn't provide any scholarships to the students on any basis. So I was not able to avail any of them. There were awards anyways to the best outgoing students from various departments.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio in our class was approximately 60:40 for boys and girls. All the students are in girl or boy had equal opportunities in our college regarding all events held and all the students had given opportunities on various occasions to showcase their talents and bring out their inborn talents and qualities. Also, there were various events held on behalf of girls/women's safety. There was no much differentiation between boys or girls on basis of ethnicity or economic status. All students had to wear the same college uniform.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network of our college is not much action, but it is helpful in various instances where students who were passouts from the College had received many placement messages from the alumni groups based on Facebook and other social platforms.
Admission :
I opted for this course because I needed a graduation degree to join and pursue ACCA (UK). College was nearby and had a good campus. The admission process was like there was a face-to-face interview with the College director and various prominent faculties. It lasted a day and we were selected on a merit basis. The process took 1 whole day to end for the admission to our program of Bachelor of Commerce with Finance as main coursework.
Faculty :
There were a lot of very efficient lecturers imparting great knowledge to us. Their average age was around 40 and they were well qualified to teach and most of them had post-graduation in Education and Teaching. Most of the lecturers also had a great experience in the industry experience which was a great add-on for the students.
