Remarks

The college has a decent infrastructure but it's not for everyone. The college is showing partiality among students based on their cast. Since the college is run by people from Kongu Vellala Gounders students from their cast is given special properties though students from other casts are better than them.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose Agriculture Engineering because I'm from an agricultural base family but unlike others I joined as a lateral entry student after completing a diploma in mechanical engineering. The course is interesting but feels more like mechanical engineering not a bad thing though. The problem with the course structure is the math and problematic subjects they are too complicated to be understood and some are way too overrated. For instance I don't understand where in my life as an agriculture engineer I'm gonna use Fourier series and Partial Differential equations. Such things are very frustrating about the course. Most of the labs are very relevant and understandable.

Placement Experience

3

Students are asked to choose for core placement/ IT placement or entrepreneurship and trained in accordance with their choice. Core students are allowed to attend normal class while the IT students are asked to take language classes. Languages including communication and programming.

College Events

0.5

We have a technical symposium and non technical cultural events. Each department have their own technical symposium. Non technical events like sports day and hostel day are common for all. And the most important of all and the very useful event is the Innovation Day. It's a common event for all the students of the institution unlike other exhibitions, here the exhibited projects are identified for the best and made into a commercial product so that the students of the project crew can be benefited from it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's optimal compared to other institutions around mine. But management seat students are charged more than I am I'll refer them to attend this survey so that they can let you know about this. Done students are provided with a discount if they have sport achievements.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was told that freshers can write a scholarship exam offered by the institution before joining the college. Also counselling seat students are provided with scholarship according to their cast, community and family income and background.

Campus Life

4

Mostly students from Kongu cast is given preference for most of the co-curricular activities. But when it comes to sports they choose other cast people too because it's a team working situation. Both girls and boys are encouraged in all the activities and the faculties are very helpful for the team to achieve success in their motive.

Alumni/Alumna

Speaking bout seniors I have a circle of very good seniors around me but not all of them are very cool and helpful. A bunch of them helped me and motivated me to involve in studies, sports and other activities. But the rest are concentrating on spreading their cast i.e. they identify their cast students in the junior classes and ask them to wear a thouread that denotes a political party based on their cast.

Admission

I completed my diploma in mechanical engineering with a 60% I chose Agriculture Engineering because I was eligible and I respect agriculture and I come from an agricultural base family. I applied for a counselling and selected the college from the counseling and joined. The admission was very simple I just gave the certificate I received after the counseling among with my certificates.

Faculty

2

Some are good some are bad. Both in the aspects of teaching and their behaviour towards students. It's a meh. For instance a faculty is very good at teaching and making students understand what they are teaching but might behave rude while interacting with students.

In my college, on campus placement opportunitiesd for core biotechnology and life science fields were quite limited, While there were placement drives conducted during the final year, the majority of companies that visited were from IT, customer support, and non-core sectors, which weren't directly relevant to the field of biotechnology.
