Student's Snapshots

Campus

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the course curriculum as fairly relevant and comprehensive, though it has scope for improvement. The exam structure includes two unit tests, two internal tests (iat-1 & iat-2), a model exam and university semester exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provides internship opportunities students become eligible to apply for internships arranged through campus or by own Some of the well known companies that offered internships to our batch included Flipkart, Schneider Electric, Foxconn, etc..

Placement Experience

4

The placement process in our college generally starts from the 7th semester, although training sessions, aptitude tests, soft skill programs begin as early as the 5th semester to prepare students. Approximately 70? of students in my batch were placed successfully, with remaining students either opting for higher studies, govt exams, etc..

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure in my case, the forst year fees Tuition fees (?50000) & Hostel fees (?55000) & Otherfees (?10000) and hostel breakage amount (?500) & lab breakage amount (?50 per lab) and the fees amount at final year increased on other charges upt (?30000).

Campus Life

4

My overall experience with campus life has been both enjoyable and enriching. The college organizes several events that keep students actively engaged. The classroom were equipped with projector. The clubs like Nss, rotract club, leo club, etc..

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility in my college is average descent and provides rooms with shared (2 or3 students per room) live comfortably. Washrooms are common and drinking water purifiee is available. The mess facility serves both vegetarian and non vegetarian food on rotational basis.

Admission

I had applied to a few other engineering colleges through admission conducted through state counselling (TNEA) but got confirmed admission offer from present college The admission experience was smooth and the counselling process helped in clearly understanding the seat availability, fees categories, and course options.

Faculty

4

The faculties are approachable both inside and outside the classroom. A strong bond exists between students and faculty, especially with members assigned to each batch. The course curriculum is fairly relevant and updated with electives related to current industry trends like Iot, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Night Life

4

Nightlife in and around college campus is fairly calm and student- friendly, though not very vibrant like in metro city campus. Inside the campus, the library generally closes by 3:15 pm, the gym by 6:00 pm and the canteen by around 6:00 pm.

Placement Experience:

The placements at our college are generally good, with students possessing average to above-average skills typically securing positions. The average package ranges from 6 LPA to 10 LPA, with the highest package reaching 44 LPA, primarily from product-based companies. However, there are some drawbacks. The college occasionally pressures students to join companies they may not prefer, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the placement cell frequently collects student details and changes evaluation metrics—shifting from platforms like CodeChef in the first year to LeetCode in the second year—which can be inconvenient. Despite these issues, the overall placement opportunities are promising.
