Remarks

The college is collecting unnecessary fines from students as late fees fine etc these had become a burden to the students Also we have on of the best canteen facilities here Hostel is best The college is having best sceneries and perfect atmosphere for studying We also have best transportation faclities

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course I choose is mechanical engineering which is known are the base of every engineering. The course structure is not soo convincing since the syllabus street mostly on theory other than practical sessions. As a btech graduate we will be more over find a job where practical skills are more necessarily required The exam structure is like that, the exam is for 100 Mark's we should get a minimum of 45 to pass the paper.

Placement Experience

We have a very good campus placement unit in our college We have frequent training sessions on how to appear for an interview and all Our faculties are always guiding us for placement and all We are informed earlier on the placement drives that are conducting in our campus and nearby campus

College Events

2.5

We have national techno cultural fest named as ITIHA. ITIHA is the pride of our college All the departments in the college shortly join together and work hard to achieve the best fest on our college Also we have arts day, sports day in our college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is based on Departments The fees is comparatively feasible Per year the fees is about rs75000 for merit students 150000 for management students and 200000 for NRI students There are fines for students who fail to pay money on given dates Also there is many other hidden fines collected from students which is a burden for them

Fees and Financial Aid

Campus Life

We have on of the best lab facilities in our college Most advanced machines are available in our college We have CAD lab Machine lab Fluid machinery lab Strength of materials lab Thermal labs These are for mechanical departments

Alumni/Alumna

Admission

I was a b.tech enthusiast and when I was searching for colleges which are near me so that I could travel from home to college every day I got to see the college's advertisement and found it a good college with good results in the presviou years

Faculty

2.5

The college faculties are great. They are having great knowledge in the subject. They are highly educated and always ready to help students with their carriculum related problems or doubls. More over they are best in disciple well management etc

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

My review about RIET

I gave three options during my optional registration process. First is my current college and other is vkct and govt college attingal. But the first allotment I got admission at my current college so I took here as because of good reviews and food facilities. I enquired about the other colleges in my locality and my neighbouring places I got very good reviews. I think this college has more development and provides more intership programs IVs and more companies for placements comparing with other colleges. Our college supports startups and gave financial support for startups if needed But this is not in other colleges This is why I chose this college for my BTech degree. The admission process is very simple. The exams accepted here are KEAM and the JEE mains or advanced....Read More
