Remarks

Overall the college is good for engineering purpose, the new academic building make it to compete with most of the best IITs. Faculties are well educated and have ample of knowledge, labs and classrooms are in good condition.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very well organised in this college. After attending the entire day class you will still have time to participate in various clubs and sports. You will have labs of different subjects. Professors are also good.

Placement Experience

The best part of this college is its placement stats. It is one of the best college in terms of placement. Internship is also provided by the college. Most of the best companies come here for recruiting process.

East India's second biggest techno management fest Ojass is celebrated in this college, culfest is for cultural fest and urja is the sports fest here, Also there are various branch fest for different branches

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is almost same for all NITs. In one year you have to pay two lakhs fifty thousand approx. And if your annual income is less you will get refund according to your annual salary. It is expensive although.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not taken any scholarship or loan but you can easily get loan from the SBI branch present over there. Also there is fee refund for low income category person. Many scholarships are also available here.

Campus Life

There is ample of opportunity for those who want to do good in sports or other field. Various sports team and clubs are present to guide and train you. Labs are also in good conditon. Gender ratio is low.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very strong here. Each year alumni meet is conducted to bind all the alumni in one string. Alumnis are very helpful and supportive. They refer the companies to go to this college for recruiting process.

Faculty

Faculties are well qualified and speaks fluent english. They have ample of knowledge and give their best while teaching. Their methodology of teaching is also good. They don't cancel any class easily and if cancel then they take extra classes

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
