Farook is an autonomous college. So the exams were conducted in the right time and the results also published soon. All the arrangements for learning and evaluations are well planned and arranged by the college

Placement Experience

As part of the curriculum we had 1 month internship. We had campus placements for Asianet and mediaone channel. Those internship opportunities gave us a clear picture of our work apart from the textbook informations.

Farook college in the interzone champions of Calicut university. The effort the college taking for artists and sportsmen are really appreciatable. The various clubs and associations in the college also conduct various programs

Fee Structure And Facilities

Mine was a self financing course and it charged 17000 for a semester. It is actually a very reasonable rate for a post graduate course as we had various studio and lab works. Especially for making documentries and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college informs the students about various scholarships by Government and by the college in the right time. This helped many kids to fly for their dream career. Best student award was also provided by the college in every year

Admission

I had a clear vision to take journalism as my proffession. This lead me to get notice that the famous Farook college have this course. I registered online for the entrance exam. There were only 20 seats for the course. Among them 10 is management seat and the rest is filled thourough entrance exam. Fortunetely i was the 6th rank holder in entrance. They conduct an interview as the final selection process. After clearing the same i got admitted to the heaven on earth.

Faculty

All the teachers in our department were NET holders. Some of them carry PHD too. More than a teacher they were good friends to us. They never spoon feed us but stood as a strong piller to guide us in the right path

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my opinion my course MA History is very very traditional. As a student who learn this could only became a Lecture by the syllabus and curriculum. But the improvement in archealogy related pracrical sessions and multi-subject learning by blending it with more geography and politics could make the course more effective and also job securing.

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Companies like Federal Bank, Deloitte mostly offered. I got to know more about the rules and regulations, and functionality of my country during the course. the course teaches the structure of Indian democracy, its functions etc. It digs deep into politics of the country making sure that when students graduate they have enough info to face reality with politics for india. we learned about constitutions and structure of many major countries. Exams were conducted not according to the rest of the students for us. we had late exams and hence late results and late graduation. difficulty level of exams if you study well enough you can crack it. its theory based degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good. At some points, it needs revision. The subjects feel ancient. The teaching also need to be improved. The typical lecture method is very unhelpful. Instead they should introduce digital learning. Also the course lacks in-hand experience on the subject. Rather than the robotic manual learning there's no activity involved

Course curriculum is great and it helps us to prepare for the real world applications and also for the further academic pursuits.By the materials for the syllabus were most not available so it was so difficult for us to prepare for the exams and also the faculty face it so hard to teach us without proper materials. Also the face difficulty in the question level as we are forced to write the exams without proper materials. Our exams were not properly conducted they have published the exam date all of a sudden eventhough we studied semester wise they conducted exams yearly and 1&2 semester together it had us so hard to prepare for exams. Also our valuation was not properly done so only fews percentage of the students were only passed in the exams. The carelessness of the authorities spoiled life of many students like us.
