Review of IHM Chennai

College gives complete freedom for a student in all aspects. College values personality development of its students. The college is a place where all different cultures meet and get to know each other.

Exam has two parts. Practical and Theory. Apart from NCHM exams, there is an exam in Tourism and Hospitality conducted every year by IGNOU. Exam marks include the marks from internal exams and practical records.

There are campus interviews in the college. Domino's, Taj Group, ITC and other major companies comes to the college for campus interviews and almost all the students gets placements after the course completion.

Food fest, Pongal, Diwali, Onam etc are celebrated every year. All the main festivals of both north Indians and South Indians are celebrated with complete support from the college and the faculty side.

The fees for a single student is an average of Rs. 1.5 lakh per year. Total course fee is Rs. 5 lakh per student. This course is one of the most cheapest when it comes to fees, yet powerful in terms of career and experience.

Tamil Nadu students from SC&ST categories can study for free (tuition fees is zero). Cash awards are given to students who excel in academic perfomance. Students with poor financial backgrounds can avail help from the college.

We have a playground and an annual sports meet is usually conducted. There are other cultural events that helps students understand various cultures. There are more boys than girls in the college.

Alumni and senior students are always there to help when the college needs help. The college had alumni connections in most big companies and networks. This helps bring more campus interviews, guest lectures and opportunities to the students.

There is an exam called NCHMCT-JEE conducted every year. Based on rank, you can apply for BSc. H&HA in any IHM in India. Apart from the IHMs, you can also apply for the course from other NCHM affiliated private colleges.

All the faculties are very supportive and caring. They are very experienced in the field of Hotel Administration. Almost everyone in the college as faculties, have more than a decade of experience in the field.
