A marvelous experience

Our course is pretty unique as compared to other private hospitality and hotel management colleges in India. Our college gives us a Bachelor of Science in hospitality and hotel administration as compared to other colleges which provide Bachelor in hotel management. Our course has been quite innovatively designed under the joint collaboration between École hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland and Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. Our curriculum provides a profound knowledge of 4 core operational areas in the hotel as well as food science and nutrition, finance & accountancy. The degree is awarded by Indira Gandhi National Open University which also adds management education subjects such as human resource management, marketing, Tourism Management and so on. Hence I can say that this course makes a person an all-rounder, a person having culinary skills, communication skills, management skills and most importantly - life skills. We do research on a topic related to the hotel as well as the hospitality industry at the very fag end of our final year. We have a judicious blend of practicals and theory in our course and our college lasts for 7 hrs in total in a day which also prepares us for proper stability when we will be starting our job life.

I had my internship at Hyatt Regency, Kolkata. The experience was memorable. I trained there for 4 months and it was arranged by our college.

We have 100% placements every year at our institute. Both hotels and retails visit our college for campus drive. IHG, Oberoi, Taj, Accor, Hyatt to name a few amongst a whole amount of renowned brands that visit our college with attractive salaries and perks.

Our college has fests and programs throughout the year. The most prominent one is the Food Fest which is celebrated with much pomp and grandeur. We participate and contribute in all the fests.

The total fee is Rs. 310100 from the year 2017 for all IHMs in our country. I think this sum of money is less as compared to other private colleges in India and we get a value for money education in our college.

Yes, the college helps in getting loans and scholarships. We have a tie up with IOB which provides student education loans. Apart from that, the Tamil Nadu Government provides financial aids to those who are needy and want to pursue an ambitious career.

We are having the accommodation in hostels which are furnished rooms with 24*7 water supply of purified and normal water. We have basketball courts, table tennis boards, Volleyball courts for the recreational purpose on campus. Other facilities include the inverter in college which provides spontaneous electricity in our hostel. Hostel promises are cleaned on a daily basis, washrooms and other disposal areas are tidied and maintained on a regular basis as well. Hostel fees are Rs.55000/- per annum. Food is good with both North Indian and South Indian Meals provided thrice a day. We also have a WiFi campus, classrooms and auditorium are air-conditioned.
