Remarks

Management needs more minds to run the show hire academician to take care of the college.

Entrance Preview

A very magnificent way of study and if you want to be placed in a good firm then you should go for this institute a good environment for studies and a plenty of facilities available. Highly qualified and dedicated faculty labs are equipped with latest machines.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course was under Uktal university it was the last batch under UTKAL before moving to BPUT curriculum was as per university standards had enough faculty to take care of the same. Regular classes, compulsory attendance was a must we I studied their.

Internships Opportunities

I passed engineering when there was few college in the state and Internship was more student requirement than company requirement. Though we had a TP cell, but least would have really been benefited from the process as it was at a very nascent stage.

Placement Experience

1

Job were limited during those years were Industrialization was a issue in the country very few got placements from the campus, to be precise 3 people could make it to any company other had to work on their own resources and references to find Job many student prefered training another year and many went off to metros for job search.

College Events

2.5

We had annual function with Rose day and valentines days coming in the same week we used to organised annual sports meet we celebrated all pujas in the campus life in Engineering is a event everyday irrespective of any occasion so we lived it as it came to us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

it was a same structure for every branch we paid about 25k as free seat through counselling and 60k through paid seat as per university guideline. Other than that we had exam fees, caution money, uniform fees etc. All combined it would have been 35k for free seat and 75k for payment seats.

Fees and Financial Aid

We had loan or fee waiver for needy childrens 1 or 2 of my friend got it as it was build by the FCI labour union workers so the fees for their wards were waived off.

Campus Life

3.5

A good campus life aloof from the city traffic in a situation where we have and food and books only healthy girl boy ratio was there for our batch had a few competitions where were a regular process in between the curriculum good standard of living.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel was huge it was in shape of a butterfly if you take hawks view the hostel had 250rooms. A football groung, a bastball court, a cricket pitch, a multigym, a big kitchen which cooks some food which never tasted good but right now I miss it.

Alumni/Alumna

We are still in contact through various whatsapp groups all are connected with someone or the other, so the chain is complete.

Exam Structure

Engineering exams always has a tight schedule and huge syllabus utkal university was always known for its stringent rules and policies regarding exam. Though very few students liked it, but all had to abide by it and follow the exam days had two papers back to back everyday of the week and no gaps in between.

Faculty

3

Good faculty staff 4 years was quite a time to call them as friends, as we shared the hostel as well as life we had few doctors, few professors and rest were asst professor and lab assistants. All labs were equipped with sufficiently faculty to care of the cores.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
