Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are conducted by WBSU under the college is. The syllabus is somehow large than a few universities but if some one has paln for higher studeis or to seat in JAM then the pattern of syllabus is authentic. The exams are conducted two times in a year. First a test which is conducted by the college authoriy and the finals by the WBSU university. The syllabus and the teachings of the faculty of the college in physics department is really good. And will help you in your higher studies.

Placement Experience

1

As it is not a technical college the placement is not a significant matter. But the college has reputation of maikng many academicians in the state. The college is age old and have very good reputation. Tnough I have heard of a few placement but it is not in much in number.

The collegee is co-ed. About The gender ration I cant say specifically but the girls participation is large. In Mathematics and physics though number of boys was more but the girls was in majority in vast number in chemistry, botany, zoology etc. And the parity in ither humanity subjects between biys and girls were quite good. Each stream where labs are requied there is good lab in the college. The most important is physics, chemistry and computer science labs. There are very good in this college. There is no discriminatie in the religious or community grounds. A sound and harmonuous environment is present in the college which the most important for any student. Sports are played in college. Many pass out students are very successful in their academic carrier and the senoir students of same department are helpful with studies. And over all the students and student coucil are also help ful to each other.

Admission

I was interested in physics. And wished to study it in BSc. So I applied for it in RBC college, Naihati. I was told thatbthe physics department was really good and faculty of the department is good. And after getting admission I feel the same what I was told. Teachers are very goof and helpful. Lab was good all kind of instruments to do practice for practical examination was there and the lab assistant was remarkable and freindly. When I got admission it was offline mode. You have to collect the forms, fill up and submit that within time. After a week or two a merit list was published and according to the list it was confirmed whether you were going to get admission or not.

I think I'm a curious student. Integrating biology with technology is interesting Recently we are studying animal tissue culture plant tissue culture which is superb. Generating a plan from a single cell is truly something interesting. I was drawn to genetics and biotechnology application . This curriculum prepares a student for research and industrial purpose . We get to do lab experiments project work under professors. In my opinion improvement can be done by industrial visits Exams take place at the end of each semester and we have mid sems in between

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance as moderately relevant. My decision to choose this course was primarily influenced by its research learning facility and practical based learning. The curriculum helps each individual to prepare for further comepetitive exams and expanding their jobs option with full and profound knowledge of data based works and computer skills. To enhance the course curriculum and teaching methods , I would suggests dedicating deep learning with lots of real life examples, updating the syllabus to recent advancements Providing recorded lectures would be of so much help and providing more opportunities for students to present their work giving them detailed feedback would improve the skills and learning capacity of the students.
