Remarks

College is more like a school. You need to wear uniform anyhow, teachers are not friendly, more than technical the aproach here is academical, there is most chances that you will be debarred if you fail 75 attendace in each subject which means you will have to attend almost 95 percent to college working days. If you want to enjoy dont come here. This is very strict college. It takes fine for everything and will not allow you out of hostel after 6:30 leaving food time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course circullum is good as a first year student for cv raman college of engineering were i took btech is good the course structure is very well. The exams and labs are very frequent and this is very strict and will give you no chill.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is not much placement here for now,but the scenerio is changing as i have heard from our seniors how the number of compinies visiting our college increased each year. The college is tied up with internshala for internship were you get stiphend accordingly.

College Events

4

There are lots of events conducted here like the first month the freshers are being conducted by each individual brach seniors then comes the radio mirchi, lots of seminars and nukkad are conducted. After this comes technical fest were lots of technical events are conducted named as bidyaantrik and then at final the comes cultural fest that is named celegance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is bit high. You will have to pay approximately 2 lakhs for your course fee and hostel per year and other costs excluded. You need to buy college dress and the registration fee is taken seperately. And this year the fee may rise too. For now our course fee is 1,19,000 plus ssepl(skills)20000.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no loan facilities for other state students as far as my knowledge but there are few scholarahips for odisa students but till now i have not seen anyone availing it. You can get loans in your state and apply here same to scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is about 10 boys to 1 girla. There are lots of workshops organised by college and seniors at starting days you will feel like you are put down by your seniors later things will change. There are lots of sports game and inter and intra sports challenge too like of cricket, swimming, football, basketball, football etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are different hostels namely obh, nbh, apartment and jagamara. Obh,nbh, apartment and jagamara are boys hostel out of which obh,nbh and aparment are in campus and jagamara out campus. The infrastructure of jagamara is not good rest if them are fine. Obh 4 room sharing Apartment 2 room sharing or single if yout opt for. Jagamara 3 room sharing.

Alumni/Alumna

Initially the seniors shows lot of attitide and will talk and behave very rudely but as time flies they are very friendly and helpful but you need to be in limits still. They help in almost all of the prigrams and will insist you to open up all the time by forcelly making you to participate in differents events

Admission

You will get admission through Jee mains, odisa jee and if seats are vacant you can go for management quota. But the college is declares as to be a university this year that is ' c v raman global university',so most probably they may conduct their own entrace exams.

Faculty

4

Most of the teachers here are very much good and talented in there parts but very few of them are the one who knows how to deliver content and teach making studies interesting. The college is hiring new teachers and there is shortage and the new teachers are less experienced mostly.

The campus placements are decent, average package is somewhere around 10-11 LPA and lowest around 4 LPA where are the highest is around 65 LPA. around 70% of students get placed through campus placement. As this is an NIT, there are many intership opportunity and stipend varis from 10,000-35,000 per month. Companies like Adobe, AMD, Intel, Microsoft provide intership opportunities in this college and over 20% students get properly paid internships
