Kurukshetra University a short review

Positive remark:- Anything required for a student to complete his degree is given in this university. Good education and special facilities regarding lab, sports etc. Negative remark:- Since it a state government university so preference to Haryana Students are given more compared to students of other states.

I will not the course structure is Excellent but yes its sufficient for any national level entrance examination like NET, GATE or GSI. So actually there are nearly 4 to 5 papers in a single semester and each paper is taught by 3 to 4 teachers and all the teachers take their separate sessional examinations so we give a total of 12 to 15 sessional examinations in a single semester, apart from the semester exam. And labs are there in our regular curriculum. Everyday the first half from 9am to 1pm theory is taught and after that from 2 to 5 we have our labs, so yes we go through a hectic day.

Placements and Job opportunities are not very great but yes college do help us in internship program. Though college doesn't directly offer any internship program but it helps us in finding and applying for internship in Top institutes like IIT, Wadia and Top companies like OIL, ONGC, CMPDI ect having stipend of 10k to 15k per month.

Apart from the sports week two more festivals are celebrated in our university, those are versity week and Ratnawali. The festival's are grand and are celebrated for nearly 1 to 2 weeks. Other than that various more programs such as various seminars, technical seminars are also held.

The fee structure is very much feasible, maximum of 40000 is required for 2 years course for M.sc. Year 1:- 16580 Year 2:- 16580 Total:- 33160 Other than this no money is required for any fees in kurukshetra University.

Two scholarship are being given, to the SC people of Haryana Localities and Other one is given to the topper of M.Sc course. Childrens who don't have their father are also given a scholarship sum of 5000 rupees. And any student who is the topper of M.sc 1st and 2nd semester, ongc gives a scholarship of 60000 rupees.

The University have equal ratios of boys and girls. Various workshops are being help related to various courses. University and got big play grouds having different spaces for basketball, volleyball, badminton, hockey, cricket and football. Indore stadium is also provided. And university have zero tolerance towards ragging or any discrimination towards gender, caste or religion.

Yes, the alumni network or the chain is too strong. They help a lot, regarding and coaching related to various exams or they even recruit students in the companies they are working and special privileges are being given. Regular alumni meet are being carried our regarding this.

Actually i am student of Geology, after i completed my B.Sc in Geology, one of my senior informed me about kurukshetra University and then i went to its site, filled out the form and then posted it to the given address. After nearly one month i got a call from the office of Geology Department kurukshetra University that i need to come there for admission in two days time. I decided to go their because the faculty is great and the course is of M.Sc Applied Geology. My name was on the merit list so no other interview or anything was held. Just they checked all the marksheets and documents and i got the admission.

We have got some of the best faculty. There are total of 4 permanent professors and all of them are PHd graduates and are very much well know in there field of Study. Our present Hod of the department Mr. A.R Chaudhry sir is a renowed personality in the field of Sedimentology. He have been rechearching on the topic of origination and existence of saraswati river. And have been successful in finding its origin. And regarding our course they are actually truly dedicated to each and every student.
