Remarks

I would like u ppl to keep my. Name out of it.. If u like pets join here or else please don't..

Entrance Preview

Well when I joined this course the entrance was based on both CET exam conducted by karnataka PUC board and also 2nd PUC MARKS 50% of marks from both were considered. Now the entrance is given oly via CET exam conducted by karnataka board there is no interview as such direct admission based on ranking.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course structure is usually comprised of both veterinary and animal science subjects spanning for 4 and half years plus 6 months internship there Is nothing as electives Faculty is pretty good but problem is teachers gets transferred every now and then all are qualified enough to take the courses but few lack the interest in teaching overall teaching standards are just average.

Internships Opportunities

Well our internship was in college medicine and surgery departments and few other village camps our internship was kind of a waste learnt nothing excepnt in college medicine department we were also posted in central government spermatozoa station and central cattle breeding farm both the places were useless we just had to stay till evening ND learnt nothing i got 11k per month as stipend now it has been increased to 14k.

Placement Experience

2

There is nothing like placement as such in veterinary college U ll have to find job by ur self or wait for the govt to call for the veterinary doctors post. Places where u get jobs are kmf, breeding farms, private farms, government doctor, wildlife doctor etc. Overall it's difficult to find a job especially in karnataka college.

College Events

1

College festivals are the worst low budget, poor programs we college students have to put money for our souvenir program and also freshers party. College sponsors oly for the college day these are the oly functions that happen in veterinary college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans can be availed via national banks scholarships there are plenty if u r schedule caste or schedule tribe student apart from this u get merit scholarship if u top the class, fees concession if u have economical constraints and low income.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio very less number of girls take this course we get students from various states, but I have hardly seen them mingle with each other. They keep separate groups. Labs are pretty ok not of good standards extracurricular sucks. I mean 10 th standard kids are better than students here in extracurricular everything else sucks sports too pretty poor standards.

Hostel Facilities

4

Boys hostel is very cheap and good compared to other government hostels but u get bed bugs for free mess bill comes up to 2k everyone month in non veg mess. It includes stay food everything 24 hour hot water, power supply girls hostel is pretty ok ok but hostel warden sucks full rules ND fine for everything.

Alumni/Alumna

Very few seniors are help full and I tell u the alumni folks are selfish one thing abt veterinary is everyone hate each other they don't trust each other.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
