Remarks

College management follows a strict strict for the good academic perfomance of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is not research driven. Most of the subjects are theory based. Industrial visit is organized once in 4 years of course. Exam is on 100 marks where 45 the pass marks. There is a project work in the final semester where students need to do a project based on their course.

Placement Experience

4.5

Infosys, TCS, CareStack, Ust Global, Quest Global, Allianz, Acsia, Tata Elxi, Amazon, Byjus, H and are block, E and Y, IBS, IBM etc. Most of the companies conducted a Aptitude test followed by a group discussion and 2 levels of interview. About 80% of all pass students are placed in these companies. There is a special placement training during the vacation time of third year.

College Events

4

An annual event is held in the college every year called TEJASVI. Tejasvi is an inter college fest where all the engineering college students from India can participate in the events. Events include group dances, music, fashion show( group and single events). Technical events are conducted by IEEE members every 3 months.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students who opted management seats had to pay 1 lakh deposit. As per the government rules for B Tech fees is 75000/year. Bus fees is expensive. A special fee of 6000 had to be paid every year. Also there is a university fee of about 1500. Fee can be paid via cheque, DD or chellan

Fees and Financial Aid

AICTE Scholarship. I have opted based on the higher secondary marks and entrance score. 3 students in the top based on the above criteria from each department got selected for scholarship by the central government. Also there is a fee waiver based on the entrance rank.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is not as good as expected. Strict rules for students and faculties. Workshops are conducted every month based on mechatronics, robotics, internet of things etc. IEEE, Mechatronics, IEDS, Computer Society are the common groups in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Girls hostel is inside the campus. 3 person per room is the ratio. Food provided by the hostel is average. Free internet is provided in the hostel. Students must enter the hostel before 6 pm. Students need to sign before and after entering hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Almost 70% of the alumni are placed in good companies. They are having good experiences in their work locations. Most of them are doing good.

Admission

I got admission by entrance rank. I got rank 17000 in Kerala Entrance exam(KEAM). Students need to write KEAM to join the college. I join this college because of their academeic ranks, infrastructue and placement results. Steps: 1. Write the KEAM exam 2. Good score in KEAM or choose NRI 3.Allotment process by the state government

Faculty

3

Each department(Computer Science, Electronics, Civil etc) consist of about 25 faculties. Average age is about 30. Every faculty has a Masters degree(M tech or MSc). Some faculty has a PHD in their subjects. Most of the faculties had more than 5 year experience.

Reviewed on Nov 19, 2021(Enrolled 2014)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like Electronics so I had chosen this course. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:40. The faculties are nice and smart. Some of them are guest lectures. The others are permanent staff. Guest lectures have less experience hence their teaching was not up to the mark. Most of them have Ph.D. in the field. Two internal exams are there and a final semester exam every semester. Overall the teaching was good.

I took the Kerala state entrance. I got 4322. This was the college alloted for me. I chose Mechanical Engg because i was passionate about it. You can get admitted if you have a rank under 5000to get a merit seat. For a management seat you have to get under 10000 rank. online allotment will be done according to the rank you got. There are also some NRI seats available which have huge fees. This college is under IHRD and is a self financing college. Admission process is pretty normal.
