TISS A great learning space

Every one was great and supportive of course there can be differences at times. A mixture of both makes the learning experience awesome.

TISS entrance exam is usually held in the month of January. The applications starts by end of October or beginning of November. Once you clear the entrance you will sit for the pre Interview test which will be held on the same day of interview. Interview can be tough. Prepare well on the basics of Human Resources Management and also on what you are currently doing. If you are a student expect a lot of questions on your subject matter. Likewise for those working.

Summer placement is one of theost awaited events in the campus. Top organizations from every sector come to campus for summer placements. Students get to intern even on forieng countries. The stipend average for summer internship is ussualy Rs 40000-50000. Domestic highest is comes to rs 100000-120000.

TISS have had 100% placent records for last so many years. However there is no guaranteed placement. You work hard you get placed. The placement process is entirely handled by the student placnment committee. The average package usual is rs 12-14 lakh pa. Highest goes up to 24-26 lakhs. Beside that TISS has a very strong alumni base spread across the globe.

Manthan the annual management festival is one of the biggest for the mangent students. The students union also organises various festivals and activities. Some of the popular ones are quintessence the cultural fest. Meghmudra fresher's meet. Mosiac celebrating the culture of north east India etc.

Fees are subsidised by UGC. Very low as compared to other top schools. The Fee is Rs. 40000-50000 per semester excluding hostel charges which is also very subsidized.

Banks like SBI,BOI gives scholarship at a subsidised interest rate which you start repaying only once you start earning. There are various scholarship offered to deserving students.

The campus is divided in to two. It's not the biggest campus but enough space for everyone. There is a gym facility in the campus. A great library two Basket courts indoor badminton court,Volley court. Thanks tho limited space TISS does not have a football pitch or cricket pitch. However the basket court serves the purpose very well.

Hostel is great. Two or three person in a room. The food is good and has lots of variety. Besides the two dining hall there are cafeterias in both the campuses.

We have a very storng alumni base as mentioned earlier. Your seniors will be the one guiding you. You will be assigned a mentor in the first month who will help you in everything related to the campus and placment. Seniors are very supportive.

Exams are held every semester. Besides the semester exam there will be projects and group assignments on which the student will be graded. Performance in feild work is also evaluated of course you don't expect a top Institute to give you too much of leisu
