Remarks
Everything is positive. The college stands well according to its name, the NIT tag is in itself very prestigious. It's a dream college of huge number of students but very few are able to land here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is fantastic. I got to learn advanced electronics including IoT, Microprocessor, VLSI, Coding etc. The course is structured very well,in first year the syllabus of all branches is common but from further dedicated subjects are taught.
Placement Experience
The institute has a very high reputation in terms of placements. Majority of the high end companies including Amazon, Microsoft,One Plus, Adobe etc recrute from our college. The placements are around 99% with an average of 12 LPA.
College Events
There are three major fests held in my college viz Ojass, Urja and Culfest. Ojass is the 2nd largest techno management fest of eastern India with over 10K footfalls. Urja is the annual sports meet of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is quiet feasible. It's around 8 lakh rupees including academic and hostel fees. There is provision of various scholarship for students which is very helpful for poor students. SC and ST students have to only pay 1/3rd of fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
E- Kalyan offered by government of Jharkhand for OBC and ST, SC students is given here. A sum of 50000 is given annually to these students. Also the college waives 2/3rd of their fees. SBI bank provides loan facility to students of nit jsr.
Campus Life
The college stands apart from various reputed colleges in terms of extra curricular activities. There are around 40 technical and cultural teams which organise various activities each day. None of the evenings will be free.
Hostel Facilities
Best hostels in entire country. Feels like we live in some 4-5 star hotels. Single room from first year onwards. Facilities of balcony, lift, open air theatre etc. High speed internet with no data cap. 24 hours electricity and water supply with gyser in each bathroom.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very helpful. Seniors are the pillers of the college. They are the one who guide their juniors and prepare them for internships. In the Training and Placement Cell run by 4th year senior 3rd years are taught the ins and outs of corporate world.
Admission
Gave JEE Main and according to my rank I got NIT Jamshedpur. Though my first choice was CSE branch. No interview was taken, only entrance exam is taken. As NIT's have home state quota I got advantage of home state.
Faculty
All the faculties are P.Hd holders from various reputed institutes of the country and abroad. They also have international experience which is very helpful. They are very dedicated towards research and development.
