Review about VCW

Well furnished classrooms, seminar hall/conference hall and examination halls are provided. The college is situated in the heart of the city is connected to other areas of the city by innumerable buses and Chennai metro rail. The fee is very low. Teaching is good.

The curriculum of the courses very easy. The syllabus is kept up to date according to the university. Exams are conducted according to the university time table. There is no industrial visit organised at our college. Many on-campus placements are conducted. The course curriculum is followed by the university.

The placement is very good at VCW. Good companies like Sutherland visionary RCM, Tech Mahindra, HDFC and ICICI, etc, come to the campus for placement.

A lot of extracurricular activities are organised in our college. VCW's Pongal celebration is famous. Sports day organised. Intensive training is imparted under expert guidance. Every year students of VCW achieve notable distinctions. Facilities for provided for table tennis volleyball, kabaddi and kho kho, etc.

The fee is relatively very low as compared to the fee of other arts and science colleges. The fees are about rupees 20000 to 30000 per semester all including other expenditures. The fee becomes around rupees 30000 to 40000 per year but the facilities provided are very good as compared to the fee charged.

The college facilitates many scholarships for students. SC scholarship is provided. Students with high percentage will get scholarships.

Campus life is really enjoyable. There are more or less 4000 students are studying. The laboratories are well equipped with the different types of apparatus for conducting experiments. Computer labs, netlab and language lab which provide the finest learning environment to accentuate the teaching-learning process. A lot of extracurricular activities are organised. Each year students achieved notable distinction in sports.

The members of the alumni association are from diversified disciplines. Around ten teaching faculty of this college are members of the alumni. The members extend their helping hands for deserving students. The members guide and motivate the students in achieving their academic goals.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the UG courses is a pass in the 10th and 12th level/ intermediate exam from a recognised board. Selection of candidates is done on the first-come-first-serve basis purely on the basis of merit of marks obtained after 10th and 12th level.

Teachers are helpful and administrative authorities are very serious about studies. The quality of teaching is very good. There are more or less eight lecturers in our course. Lecturers are completed their MSc and doctorate degree. They also completed the SET exam.
