Remarks
My opinion the college is overall good. The main drawback in our time was the syllabus but now that has also been updated. the teachers are very good and helping. Fees is feasible. Infrastructure is also fine. So overall it's a good college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum used to be outdated. Ours is still old but from this year, new curriculum jas been started for new students and now its up to date According to the AICTE standards. Also the degree offered by college has been changed from BE to BTech.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college have increased a lot in the recent years. Last year most of the eligible students got placed. In our batch also more than 70% of eligible students are already placed and there are still more companies that are offering placement. The companies also come for internship drives and many students get PPO in the companies. The main recruiter since a few has been Capgemini. other big companies are JARO education, BYJU, IBM, Analytics Quotient. HUL, IBM, Genpact, GoBasket, and a few others came for internship drives too.
College Events
Our college has many clubs run by students. There's the VISTA club for that is the cultural club of BIT. Then there's BOL, the dramatic club, CLICKS - photography club, UTOPIA - photography/videography, ASTRO club - related to astronomy. Throughout the year these clubs keep organizing various events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is reasonable. It only costs about 35k per semester which according to me is not very expensive. The hostel fees is around 25k (not sure as I am a day scholar). Hostel fee includes fees for mess as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have no idea about any scholarship offered by the college. This should not have been a compulsory field. Anyway In my knowledge There is no scholarship facilty. Neither their is a loan facility that I know.
Campus Life
Lab facility is very good specially in the computer science and It department. The other branches too have good labs as far as I know. Talking about sports, we have football ground, cricket pitch, basketball court, badminton court and volleyball court. Extracurricular activities as stated above are organised all year round.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the college is good and helping. Seniors are not all helping. Of course that varies from person to person but on a large scale if we see, their is not much interaction between seniors and juniors.
Admission
The admission in BIT is via CGPET exam after which the students are offered courses according to their ranks. My rank was under 300 and I had the option of choosing any course that I wanted. I chose computer science and engineering because since school days I had an interest in it. There is no interview process for entrance in college.
Faculty
The college faculty in BIT is very good. There are mamy professors whi have PhD degree. The rest are also good and teach with interest. The only thing expected from a student is a little enthusiasm and attention.
