Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was pretty smooth and most of the learning was practical. We learned a lot from the curriculum especially the practical application of the theoretical learning of topics like business economics, financial management, operations, human resource management, etc. Our curriculum was a mix blend of core and elective subjects spanning over 2 years; i.e. 4 semesters. An internship was a mandatory part of our program, even many of my interview questions revolved around my summer internship report.
Placement Experience
Placements were also pretty great and had some of the top-most companies from all over the country paying a visit during the recruitment session. Some of these big names include Amazon, Think & Learn, Zycus, ITS, Aditya Birla, etc. The highest package secured by a student during on-campus placements was 13 LPA, while the average package was 4 LPA during my batch.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid 3 lacs on an annual basis and 6.4 lacs for the entire course. This fee included tuition fee, examination fee, library fee, a caution deposit, etc. Overall our college is pretty much feasible. Students get to avail pretty decent facilities on the campus and the infrastructure was top-notch and placement cell is very much active throughout the year.
Campus Life
We have a sports complex that is pretty huge in terms of scale. We have a huge ground, many smaller sports complexes, a separate cricket net for practicing, lawn tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool, a shooting range, etc. Cultural diversity is another differentiating factor for our university. Especially, in our MBA program, there were students from different classes, backgrounds, ethnicity, and work background. This was also helpful for learning purposes. SANGATHAN was the annual sports day which would last from 2-3 days and different Amity branches would participate across different sports. I won a silver medal in the chess competition.
Hostel Facilities
Our college also provides hostels facilities. Hostel charges are around 1 lac per annum for ac rooms. I stayed at the hostel for the first year, then moved out. Students have to apply for the hostels at the time of admission. Hostel allotments are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We learned a lot from the curriculum.
Admission
I applied to the college with my MAT scores and received a call or the next round. They conducted a basic written ability test, followed by an Interview round. I was nervous before the interview round, but it went pretty well. Overall the admission process was pretty straight-forward and the entire management was pretty supportive. I opted for this college because I wanted to join my family business and the competition was pretty nominal for this college.
Faculty
The faculty was pretty great and experienced. They were very much accessible at almost all the time. Mode of teaching was great and included the usage of ppt and video-based, but was a little less hectic. They would give us numerous assignments and case studies to analyze which was supposed to present in front of the class. They would always give pretty valuable feedback which helped us in improving our performance.
