Remarks

Our college is one of the best among any other government college. So it will be totally irrelevant to talk about it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Yes, it's relevant about the course curriculum and exam structure that is been conducted. There are better learning facilities that we can get from this college and vast knowledge in the plastics field. There are internships that are generally done so as it helps in securing campus drive a better placement. There was an industrial visit which helps the students to gain knowledge about the industry.

Placement Experience

5

Visited timex Lohia kingfa amazon Cipla for campus drive. The recruiters generally conduct written test followed by GD & PI for campus recruitment. Nearly 90% of students get placement. Yes, it takes some steps to give some knowledge about campus recruitment.

College Events

5

There are many events such as annual function, sports day, puja committee for Ganesh, Saraswati and Vishwakarma puja and these are celebrated in such a big fashion way and all students actively participate in those events so that it looks like an event that is been held in any other colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a little bit expensive from other government colleges but it's feasible. Our program fee is nearly 70000 and there are many modes of payments such as draft, net banking etc. Additional fee which is charged is bank charges which a bank provides. College provides transparency in fee breakdowns.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, our college offers scholarship for the scholars students. The students must posses above 60% so that they can avail government scholarship of medhabruti. The average sum of scholarships are 10000. I have availed education loan for my studies. I have provided my fee structure to the bank and brought the course fee for paying to my college.

Campus Life

5

Our gender ratio for boys to girls is 5 to 1 as fewer girls take admission in this branch. Workshops are generally good for our college. Our cultural society carries dance, music and function. No such diversity, race, sexual orientation, politics do take place in our college so that it makes a liable for all students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Our hostel is neat and well sanitized every day which makes us stay comfortable. There are two hostels for ug and pg course so the person belonging to its own course will be given accordingly. Wifi connection is also available for all hostel students. There are gym room present and a tv room for the amusement of students.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni networks are so strong and the seniors are very helpful regarding our studies and all the things. We have coordination among all the members which makes us the best among us.

Admission

This is an exceptional course and is very rarely found in all India as it has rare branches such as plastic engineering. It has rare branches and with that it is central government institute which let me think about taking admission in this college. First I applied JEE Main and with the JEE Main mark I applied on OJEE for counseling and I got admission in this college.

Faculty

5

There are nearly 20 faculties who are hired for our branch and all are recruited by central government basis. The there average age is 40 and their qualification is PhD level. There are many such types of teachings such as video lecture, and they also explain it in a very cool way. They are generally professor so they don't have industry experience but they are experienced in teaching.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
