IMT College Review

The course curriculum was pretty thorough and detailed. We learned a variety of topics including accounts, marketing, operations, human resource, etc. For the first two-semester, we learned about general management. For next semester we opted for specializations. I opted for HR and for the final two semesters we learned about resource management in detail.

The placement record is decent in our college. In fact, the placements were at par with the fee we paid. The average packages offered were around 9 LPA while the highest package was 20 LPA during my batch. Companies like HP, Dell, Airtel, Vivo, etc. visited our campus during my batch.

My annual fee was around 10 lacs which was somewhat expensive for me. My overall course fee was somewhere around 17 lacs. Though, the day to day expenses was pretty feasible. The college had many scholarship programs, in order to help students from economically weaker backgrounds.

Guest lectures were quite prevalent in our college among other activities. Annual sports day and inter-college sports competitions kept us on our toes. In fact, I was a part of the volleyball team which secured second place in the inter-college tournament. Management motivated us to take part in extracurricular activities.

Foundation programs and numerous alumni meets are organised by the management to establish a strong bond between students and alumni and enhance networking opportunities. We interacted with many alumni of our college who are currently working at senior levels with good brands.

Admissions are granted on the basis of the Management entrance exams like CAT/MAT/XAT etc. I submitted the application form and got a call for the counseling round. The counseling round included an Interview round, which was aimed at testing the presence of the mind and leadership skills of the student.

Our faculty was pretty qualified and had plenty of corporate experience. We shared a pretty good bond with them. They were very helpful throughout our session. The classroom teaching was pretty informative and so were the guest lectures. All in all, the standard of teaching was pretty great. And both the teaching and non-teaching staff were pretty supportive.
