Remarks

The thing I love the most about CMS is its greenery, with more than a thousand trees spanning 30 acres of land and old buildings of the colonial period. I consider myself lucky to be a pary of this rich tradition and culture. Of course there are glitches,

Entrance Preview

Merit admissions are secured using the Centralised Allotment Process by the MG University. I got in the reserved seat for backward communities. It was my dream to study in the heritage rich CMS campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is prepared by the University as of now and it is worthless.

Internships Opportunities

I am a first year student. We have our internships only in the second year. There is a placement cell in our campus which is doing well for an arts college in India.

Placement Experience

3

We have a placement cell in our campus. It is doing well for an arts college in the country. I do not know any details since we are not yet in the placement year.

College Events

5

Our campus life is filled with events and competitions. Their are intercollegiate and even state and national events happening. The programms are conducted on a grand scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is bearable compared to other colleges. Our course is a self-funded course. Our course fee is about 12000 rupees per semester. Most of the courses are aided by the government.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lots of scholarships offered by the college. There are also other scholarships offered by the government and from private sector. I have not yet availed or applied for any of them.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is what I came to this college for. There are events and activities year-long. I am proud to say that our college is one of the most diverse, tolerant and gender-equal campuses in the country.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The college hostel is low in standards. Only PG students and UG students in sports quota are admitted. The college mess is good, though there is room to improve.

Alumni/Alumna

CMS College is rich with famed alumni, which includes former President of India RK Narayanan. Their are alumni associations held every year. Our seniors are the most friendly and cooperative lot I have ever seen.

Exam Structure

Their are exams at the end of each semester. There are one set of internal exams in each semester. They are usually chilled out.

Faculty

4.5

Our department doesn't have any long term teaching staff, the current teachers are good. Our college is one of the best colleges in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching, the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Economic somehow teaches us how to manage in real world.. I can connect a lot more to real world while learning economics. It is a little too difficult to learn for sem exams. The sem exam is just in 50/70 marks.. The exam timing is 1 1/2 or 2 hrs.
