Remarks

The college has very strict rules for safety purpose which may seem too much for many coming from metropolitan upbringing. But in the longer run, after a great placement, you will start thinking it was worth the efforts.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

VIT is one of the most competitive and curriculum-driven college. Here you will get exposure both inside and outside the classrooms. What makes this a significant learning place is a discipline and strictness that the management has maintained over the years. Almost every semester the college takes us for minimum one industrial visit and one can't take it for granted since there are questions related to the IV that are asked in the examination

Placement Experience

5

The best part about a private institution like VIT is that they are dedicated towards placement and they have the most hardworking staff behind the placement process which goes on year-round. In many aspects it is better than Govt colleges since here the college takes efforts on every student.

College Events

3.5

We celebrate every occasion. Major holidays like holi and Diwali are celebrated full-fledged with decorations and lighting. Apart from that, there are two other fest, one technical and one cultural both of which are national-level events. Apart from these, there are things that take place in college and people actively participate in them too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Some may find the fee more because in comparison to govt colleges it's more. But the important thing to understand is that the college is also proving that price by giving ample opportunity and infrastructure. There is more scope to learn than one can actually take in.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I haven't opted for any such thing. But I have a friend who did. He got placed in a good company so he is set for a full career ahead of him.

Campus Life

5

As an engineering college, the girl: guys ratio is less. But it's not the fault of the college but the degree as a whole. But still, there are a significant number of women in our college and nowhere have they been degraded or being discriminated. There is no tolerance for substance abuse and hence no parties. Festivals are celebrated. But idol worship has been discontinued. The management tries to keep a balance between the ethnically diverse lot that they Foster.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are far better than any college heard of. I feel they do justice to the price with regular cleaning of rooms as well as washrooms. But eventually it comes down to who uses it properly. The mess food is fine as well. What I have heard from govt colleges, our mess seems much better.

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors are approachable. There is no tolerance for ragging and the seniors do not really try to mingle in the business of juniors. Everyone is cooperative and very helpful.

Admission

I had a keen interest in electrical and hence I opted for the course. I was sure I didn't want to take computers or any other branch which involved coding. I hence narrowed down my interests and things I didn't want to do and came up with this branch. For admission, I gave VITEE exam which is an all India level exam, secured a good enough AIR and got the first category in my desired branch. There was counselling where they let you choose the branch and pay for the admission. You may or may not get the desired branch since it depends on your rank and the availability as per public demand.

Faculty

4

Our college has a rule that they only hire people from IIT or NIT background for teaching staff. This statement stands for itself. All the faculties are very hard-working and they work closely with students which results in many journal publications as well.
