Remarks

It is not just a college it is an emotion to all who studied there. Its one of the dream college of everybody. And it is also a favorite filim shooting location for malayalam filim makers. The negative part is the ruthless dirty politics. But in the campus life it is also a fun. The continuous strikes fights etc are a bit nasty.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It was a chilled atmosphere in college. No stress. Classes will go on. The labs are well equiped. Academics. Non academic. And entertainment all go along in there. Now the college is autonomous.

Placement Experience

2

Its is an arts college. So there is no placement given in from the college. But as there is self financing courses. You could initate a tech fest and by that you could get placement. But as it is a government college there wont be fund alloted to tech fest. So its a far away dream. Self financing courses have 2 compulsory on job training in 3 years.

College Events

5

Maharajas college is all about celebrations. The onam celebration starts a week prior to the vacations. A whole week is celebrated by different organisations of the college. Each and every festival is celebrated in college with maximum enthusiasm. Cultural programmes ware conducted on all friday evenings.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is government fees. Less than 1000 ruppees for normal courses and 15000 for self financing courses each year. If you have fees concession. Then you don't have to pay. And also you will get stipends.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholorships are given to the students based on the government policies like ghe post matrix scholorship. OBC scholorship. Sc/St scolorship. Oec scholorship. Etc. These scholorships are given go the students by the government.

Campus Life

4.5

There are well developed labs in the college for research purposes. It is one of the besg colleges for extra curricular activites. There is no discrimination on the basic of gender or anything. All have equal rights and priorities there. The best place for everything packahe

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini network is one of the best thing maharajas have. You can find old students roaming inside campus each and every day. There is a strong bond between the college and the student. Most of the well known celebrities of kerala were students of maharajas. And the visit there frequently. And alumini meeting are like festivals.

Admission

Government allotment. Apply on Goverment site. Now the college has its own portal. Apply online on the portal and submit the form in college. And the allotment process will start. The course I opted was Bsc physics instrumentation. It is a self financing course.

Faculty

4.5

As is it is a government college. There is a high level of qualification needed to be a faculty. All are highly talented and cool minded. Self financing courses dont have permanent faculties. So the qualification are starting from Msc onwards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
