Remarks

Infrastructure is up to the mark. The faculty is welcoming and approachable. Even the non-teaching staff are ready to help at any time. The college crowd is amazing.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum involves activities and assignments. These help to improve skills in every aspect. There is no particular book to study. All learnings are through practical working with the help of class notes and reference books. The curriculum helps evolve the students in such a way that they are ready to face any kind of challenge from the outside world. Being a First-Year student, we recently visited CDSA, Pune, and Malvan as educational site visits.

Placement Experience

4

There are no such college recruitments. Students have to go into the field and admit themselves to various firms. But, if the student gets good grades, he or she is selected by the firm themselves. Students also take the scholarship test. In a batch, all students get recruited.

College Events

5

Events and fests are quiet famous in Thakur. Our college conducts its Annual Fest EPOCH. Also, take part in major competitions such as NASA Minor events such as Teacher's Day, Women's Day or any other such days are also happily celebrated. These events have no effect on the student's academics. So he/she can freely take part in events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Payments can be done online or by cheque. Advances may or may not be accepted. The college has a separate Student Council Fee which helps in covering some portion of cost during fests/events/trips/visits. Yes, during final admission procedures, transparency for fee breakdown is clearly stated.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scholarship offers yet. No idea on the average scholarship sum. There are many students in our college who have got scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Everyone is treated as equal in the Thakur School of Architecture and Planning. There is no gender disparity. Workshops take place twice or thrice in a year. Students have to fill up the Anti - Bullying statement registered by the Government. Students of all races, castes, religions are equally treated.

Alumni/Alumna

Initially, I wasn't exposed to such huge crowds. After joining this college, I noticed that without interaction, no one can sustain. So I got into the College Fest, participated in many events. Recently I got the chance to be a part of the First Convocation Ceremony. This helped me interact with my super seniors and know a bit about the outside world.

Admission

I got into this college through the FC and ARC Rounds. I took the NATA and JEE PAPER 2 exams but got through the rounds through the Jee marks. The infrastructure of the college is excellent. I had checked up the reviews online and also cross-checked with some of my friends who were already students of this college.

Faculty

5

The number of subjects differs between 6 and 7 per Semester. There are a total of 10 semesters (5years) Faculty trues to explain everything in every way possible. They teach in a way students feel comfortable with. From one to one discussions to class discussions, everything is taken into consideration. All subjects are interlinked with each other.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the architectural course because I love designing buildings. The teachers were good, and there weren't too many students in each class. They knew a lot about architecture and taught us in different ways, like drawing and going to see real buildings. The exams were fair and not too hard, but you had to study. Overall, I liked the course and learned a lot about architecture.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
