Remarks

Our college is situated in kind of busy area of the city so it is mostly noisy. College building being little inside the campus is not much affected but hostels get very noisy if there is any function nearby.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is a 5 and half year course including internship. there are some changes proposed to the previously followed curriculum. previously it was 1 year for 1st year, one and half year for 2nd year, 1 year for Final part 1, and 1 year for Final part 2, at the end of each mbbs year university exams are conducted. student need to score 50% marks to pass and be eligible for next year

Placement Experience

5

Medical colleges have internship as part of their course structure which students do after passing their final year part 2. Stipend right now in my college is about 12500 which is expected to increase in near future. In internship you have to go to respect department for certain period of time and perform the duties assigned to you. Different department have different time period. You get to learn lot of things about treatment procedures and how to handle the patient and staff.

College Events

4

Our college organises Annual function called RHYTHM, every year. timing of annual function varies depending upon comfort of students and teachers. It is organised by students of final prof 1 by electing a core committee and different department like sports music cultural etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. You have to pay 41300 for each year including hostel fees. And for the last half year you have to pay approach 23000. You also have to pay for your exam forms each year which is about 2500 each year. Students from weak financial status can apply for cg government scholarship programme.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college does not provide any scholarship but being a government medical college students can opt for scholarship provided by chhattisgarh government. Scholarship is based of annual family income and category for general it's 1lakh per annum for S. T. it's 2. 5 lakh per annum. Scholarship amount is 48000 and 51000 respectively.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is almost equal with slight inclination towards girls but this ratio keep changing with each batch. workshops and CME are organised by different department in which students can participate. There's sports ground in college for playing basketball volleyball and cricket. badminton court in both hostels. Various functions are organised by students on different festivals and occasion of importance.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have opted for hostel. I've been sharing my room with my room partner for approx 4 year. there is adequate space for 2 people. Rooms come with inbuilt shelf and a metal shelf something for keeping books. Beds and table are provided by hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of senior students start working in college itself in various department. College seniors are helpful in studies and various other activities. They provide notes for examination, sometimes teach junior students. Also help in guidance

Admission

Gave cgpmt 2015. Got selected on category reservation. filled counseling form. with choices raipur, bilaspur and jagadalapur. got bilaspur on first counseling. reached cims. filled necessary forms submitted my certificates. got enrolled

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as it was my parents dream and during childhood my paediatrician also inspired me to become a DR. This college has good faculties. In a subject department there is 1 HOD( head of department), 1 assistant professor,1associate professor, 2-3 demonstrator and many management workers. They are very helpful. Also there are 60 students so it is very helpful for students to understand what professor says. There is good communication between students and professors overall I would say a good bonding is there. All faculties MBBS graduated though some have done PHD also but they have good teaching experiences to make a student understand everything. There are 2 internal exams which are average to pass and one University exam in which you have to pass to go to next year. You have to give a supplementary exam if you fail the University exam or the final exam.
