Remarks

The college stands away from the city. it is a positive and neagtive. the positive part is there is noise pollution and college provide a calm and quiet atmosphere for students. and the nagative part is the transportation facility to the college is poor. only college buses and taxis are available to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course carriculum is strictly based on the norms of AICTE and KTU University. it is quite smae as the IIT course carriculum. The exams were conducted at the end of each semester. Each semester have 6 theory papers and 2 labs. but in last two semesters there is paper presentation and course project. And there will be a course Viva in the pre-final year.

Placements where offered by the flagship companies in India. last year many Indian companies recruited many of the students in our college. The college also provide placement drive for every students other than in the college. Amazon,Ashok Leyland where some of the companies where the students get offers

College Events

There are many events conducted in college every year. An year starts with the fresher's party and ice breaking session. and an expo is conducted by featuring The projects of students in college. Tech fest were conducted in the even semester where many technical and non technical events conducted by students. and college arts day is a festively in the college. it's a 3 day programme where guests were invited for participation and inaugurations. Beside the many events like Union day, Women's day, onam,Christmas were also celebrated in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible when compared to the other engineering college in Kerala. our college offers schlorships and other fee waiver schemes for students with high GPA. college also provide free education for some of the students those who are financially backward.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships and fee waiver were allowed for the students which financially bacckward and for students under merit quota. And government scholarships and loans are also available in college. college also provide scholarship for students those who won the college entrance exam.

Campus Life

The lab facility of our college is just outstanding. Every labs were equipped with modern technology and instruments and provide safety for the students. There is more boys in there than than the girls. college football, cricket,kabbadi teams participated in the zonal competition and some our students got selection for the university football team camp

Hostel Facilities

Hostel was good and well maintained. All rooms have attached bathroom and wash basin. Room can be shared 3 or 4 people. Shelfs and tables were provided individually for inmates. The room rent were also affordable. Annually about RS 21000 is the room rent.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors and alumini members are very helpful. When I joined the college we got fresher's party from the seniors and the gave support in our studies by providing their books and reference notes. The alumini association conduct association day in college every year. And they helps us to seek jobs. They inform us about the vacancies and offers in their companies.

Admission

After my plus two in biology science, I appeared for KEAM entrance exam. I attended both medical and engineering exam,but I found interest in engineering. I got the minimum marks required for engineering admission. After that I applied for Mechanical Engineering stream in different colleges under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. And when the admission started I got seat in Al Ameen Engineering College shornur under merit quota.

Faculty

The college faculty is quite good. They help us to make the studies easy and give proper guidance through out the course. The faculty and lab attenders are well known for there practical skills. it help us to get vast knowledge about the machines and instruments. They give proper instructions and take safety precautions for our safety during the practical session.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year.
