My college in few words

Positive remarks-good environment,more faculties, minimum student so more individual care, Negative remarks-more labs required with more study tours,no availability of architecture materials nearby,no printing of A3 sheets facilities available

Well to be honest department of architecture is now new as compared to other departments in our college so it is not highly recognised but on the other hand many developments are going on. our construction lab is now under construction and we are expected to receive our computer labs soon. Other facilities like faculties are superb now. Regular classes and assignment submission are done on a regular basis. Exams of theories are quite loadsome for architecture students as they hardly get any time other than their sheets.

As architecture is a course which is quite different from b. tech we dont have placement cells. But our b. tech students do have placement cells. Many big companies like wipro,tcs, vedanta,cognizant,etc come for placements. Stipend on an average is 3 lacs p. a

Events are a must. Cultural events like horizon is celebrated every year. It is one of the biggest cultural fest of Odisha. Other than this every branch has their branch cultural events like Quimica,technofest,vistaar,etc.

Fee Structure is reasonable. Mess dues for a total year is around 30k per year The miscellaneous exam fee is 1700 for each semester registration. College dues is 40k per year. No extra fees are required.

I am myself a loan borrower. loan facilities are excellent. no problems will be faced. you just need to show your bank documents and they will process your fees without any problem. Scholarship like medhabruti is being provided for students whose academics is good but annual income less than 6 lacs per annum. Other than this prerana scholarship is being provided for sc/st students.

College is full of extracurricular activities Every year ash of our college organize fun fare in which students sells items and goods. Sports day is a must which is organized every year in the month of January or February. Wushu is one the most important art form of our college in which both girls and boys participate and represented Igit in national level as well and won silver for our college.

Hostel rooms are not so highly satisfying. In some cases you can see water dripping from the walls In one room one has to share to maximize of 6 students. One thing which is good about this college is that girl students get 100% accomodation. PG's cost is around 4000 per month.

Well as it is new department so only one batch has passed out last year. Seniors are great to be honest as they help us with various things like with cracks of softwares otherwise we had to buy it from certain shops. so they help us from saving money in a way. other than that we can also call and ask about the concept of certain buildings or about any subject.

I got into this college through JEE paper 2. Admission is fairly in terms of ranking basis. I always wanted to be an architect so getting through this entrance and securing a good rank i got into this college.

Well as it is a government college all the facilities are highly educated some of them are even PhD scholars. They are very serious about the teaching concept. they always help us wherever we are stuck and make us understand about softwares,sheets or theories. They sometimes take extra classes as well.
