Remarks

I am all praises about my institute, expect for the mess facilities. I have never liked the mess in the 4 years that i have spent in this campus. I have only 2 months left in tbis campus and there is nothing that disappoints me about VIT other than the mess.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is very well planned. Only certain computer science course which are currently optional, should be made mandatory keeping the job perspective in mind. Exams and labs are thorough. It might be exhausting to have 3 exams per semester but in the long run, its beneficial because you get a hang of appearing for exams and you dont fear it any longer. Lab work is very well planned to give us a clear picture of whatever was done in theory classes.

Placement Experience

5

Yes, our institute provides all students opportunity to apply for several companies that come to our campus for recruitment. Full time as well as internship is offered by the companies. VIT gives us all possible chances to be placed in top reputed companies.

College Events

4

Cultural events like pongal, lohri, ganesh chaturthi, saraswati puja are celebrated. Also, independence day, republic day are celebrated. Technical fests like techno-vit is celebrated every year. Vibrance is a three-day cultural fest celebrated in VIT every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I belong to the 2016-2020 batch. The fee structure has been revised after 2017. Tuition fee : 1. 33lpa Mess and hostel: 85,500 (after gst, amount was increased. Also, i belong to veg mess and 4 bedded non ac room. This amount depends on your choice of room and mess) Caution deposit and admission fees were also collected. So total estimated sum was Rs. 101500. After the addition of gst, fees was hiked.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first 3 rankers of the qualifying exam VITEE are offered full scholarchip. While there are slabs for 75% 50% and 25% scholarship. All these will be mentioned in the magazine that the institution will courier you after you have applied for a seat and have appeared for VITEE.

Campus Life

4.5

Students can be part of football/basketball/volleyball/handball/cricket/hickey teams. Students can enroll themselves in clubs- dance, music, drama, IEEE, trekking, social service, etc. There are no gender barriers as far as sports or clubs are concerned. The only strict rules are concerning the dress code inside the college campus- girls are not supposed to wear sleeveless clothes and to always wear full pants. Boys are also supposed to wear full pants while attending classes ie inside the library and academic building.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are beyond doubt comfortable and clean. There are facilities report about issues concerning electrical maintenance, cleanliness, or any other problem. Electricians are available 24*7 and they cater to all problems within a stipulated time daily. There are 3 types of rooms available (AC/NAC) according to increasing order of fees: 4Bedded, 3Bedded, 2Bedded.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very helpful. We have always asked for advice from our seniors regarding the selection of courses and faculties. Also, during placements, our seniors have always taken out time to solve our queries, and share their experiences, which have always motivated us. Since the first day in VIT, i have always gound my seniors very friendly and helpful. Ours is a ragging free campus. And most importantly, sometimes in certain courses, we share classrooms with our seniors as well as juniors.

Admission

Placement in VIT is commendable. After my graduation, my first priority is to be placed in a good company, this criteria made me choose VIT over any other institute. I chose EEE because i have a liking towards this particular field and because i always wanted to become a core engineer. After my entrance exams, i knew that i would be clearing the cut off and out of all other institutes i had applied for, VIT was my first priority because of its infrastructure, education standards, student culture, placements and ofcourse the green campus is an added advantage.

Faculty

4

Faculties are helpful. I belong to School of Electrical Engineering. Faculties in our department are always cooperative. Faculties always take interest in our doubts. They get back to us with answers and are very approachable.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
