Remarks

Good for localites who don't wish to leave their native place. Wouldn't recommend for others coming from far. Labs and playground is something which needs renovation. A sort of discipline need to be brought amongst students regarding punctuality. Apart from that college is just OKish.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college ran previously over the Shivaji University pattern but is now autonomous, so the syllabus is now quite updated and great improvement is done over the old school techniques of submission and termwork. The college hours are normal as other colleges. And nowdays practical sessions have been increased to a great extent in the day to day schedule.

Placement Experience

3

The third year end is when students are told to do internships. Though they are expected to find it on their own. Many pool campuses are held here which require students in a large amount but not specifically from any branch. Core companies are quite rare. TCS, Cognizant, Infosys are some which come almost every year. Mechanical and Production engineering have many less core companies as compared to CSE and IT. Average package is around 2-3 lakhs.

College Events

3.5

MERAKI being the cultural event and PIONEER the biggest technical event. Together the events are for 4 days. Mostly in the month of January. Students participate withegreat enthusiasm. The events are mostly student driven, so for the ones who like to manage stuff love being a part of the team. Come celebrity singers are called on one of the days for a sensational concert.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for open category students are around 1 lakh per year. It may vary according to castes like OBC - 50K, SC/ST 12K, NT 8K. There are many scholarships applicable provided by government of Maharashtra. So the fees are overall moderate or feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

EBC scholarship i. e 50% fees And Punjabrao Deshmukh for hostel fees Which is 20k for students have agricultural land less than 2 acres or whose parents are farmers. Apart from them there are no special scholarships offered from college.

Campus Life

3.5

Sports week is in February and students both male and female have huge participation. Cricket, football, volleyball etc are some played. ISTE Students chapter, Mavericks, NSS and departmental students associations are some student groups.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Girls hostel is quite maintained but has a limit of only 90 seats. The case is totally opposite in the case of boys. Though the strength is 360 the hostel is not at all developed and is in the worst condition. It has water supply problems and also the building needs renovation.

Alumni/Alumna

Ragging is not at all observed. Me being in the last year 've observed no foul practices. All are quite helpful. The student associations bring the juniors and seniors in great contact. They might help you in providing notes, selecting books or choosing electives.

Admission

The admission was basically CAP (Centralised allotment process) organized by DTE, Gov. Of Maharashtra. There were four rounds. Seats were alloted according to merit and caste wise. I puposely chose Mechanical Engineering because apart from my keen interest in the core branch the staff / faculty here is what the department is well known for. It lacks in facilities, though it is in the "development phase", but teachers here are well equipped with knowledge and the alumunus also are in a reputed position and recommend Mechanical over production engineering.

Faculty

4

Many of the faculty hold a master degree. Also it's an compulsion here that the HOD needs to hold a PhD in concerned feild, so no doubt in the knowledge area of teachers. Execpt some all are friendly and have chose teaching as their interest. #IYKWIM

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
