Remarks

The positive thing about the college is that it provides a good environment for every students to explore their studying and research purposes, extracurricular activities etc. The only negative thing I have found is that there is a short of space around the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was semester based curriculum. Its a three year course, as 6 semesters. Each semester ends with exams. Exams, labs and practical exams are conducted on the same college. It was good environment for studying and research purposes.

Placement Experience

3.5

The course I have studied have many opportunities, mainly on research and teaching fields. The college provide better environment for studying and exploring our knowledge. There is stipend for students for completing their study, from both State, Central government and NGO's.

College Events

5

The college have provided with many events. Includes Welcome day, association inauguration, fine arts day, sports day, NSS campaigns, election, college day, annual day,Sports meet, and other cultural programmes and seminars coordinated by different departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible. As it is a Government college the fee is very feasible for every students. The average fee per year is upto 300 rupees. This rupees 300 includes examination fee, laboratory fee, and fee required for other events and programmes arranged on the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is many scholarship/loan facility available in the college. The management avails the students all the scholarships from both Central and State Governments and Non Governmental Organizations. I too have availed with a scholarship from the State Government of Kerala, for the brilliant backward students.

Campus Life

4

All the extracurricular activities available are far good of my knowledge. There is a separate laboratory facility available for each science subjects. A separate sports hall is maintained with professionally qualified staffs, College is provided with necessary ground for the sport practice.

Hostel Facilities

4

My home is just 7 kilometers from the college. Thus I have no need of hostel and I stayed at my own home throughout my college days. I never opted for the hostel because there is no hostel for men is run by the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni or Old students association is very helpful for the upcoming students. They provide some necessary arrangements on the college, like Alumni association arranged botanical garden for Botany Department, likewise Alumni association constructed separate blocks.

Admission

I got admission through merit list. I had submitted application form, And I got admission on the merit list. I had chosen B. Sc Zoology as first choice but I got admission for B. Sc Botany. I am happy with the course.

Faculty

5

All the faculties including teaching and non teaching staffs are professionally qualified. Faculties here help us to catch each and every topic easily. Teachers supports all the students for their success with no partiality.

The B.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum at St.Teresa's College is comprehensive, focusing on practical applications and advanced topics . However more hands on experience and updated teaching methods could enhance learning. Exam frequency is reasonable, but some could be more challenging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is a booming industry in the world. I had selected this course hoping to achieve a successful career here in India. Little did I know that biotechnology had not picked up its pace yet in India. The exams conducted was frequently with 1 or 2 model exams in each semester for theoretical and practical. This helped us to have enough basic knowledge when we finally pass out. It would be better if more internships and industrial visits are included in the syllabus. It would give a better idea about our future. It will also help us to boost our resume. The jobs in biotechnology offers low salary here but large varities of experience can be gained. This helps us to have a better career outside of India.

But at the same time, the college doesn't provide much actual support for the students for their after college life. This poses as a great difficulty and confusion for students completing their UG or PG from this place.
