Remarks

The positive remark about my College is that it provides a ground for sports students, science lab for science students, computer lab for computer students. And negative is that not good variety of food available in canteen also the campus is always crowded.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is divided into 6 semesters each semester includes various media components and then gives us brief about the same. It really is good in getting the required knowledge and adding it to your expertise. Apart from theoretical lectures cirriculum also includes fun practical assignments like short films, survey, brand building, ad designs, field visits to radio stations, printing press etc. The days were chilled and less hectic.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes they do provide internships. Initially there are no or less stipend/earning opportunity but as far as gaining experience and knowledge is concerned it really helps. Annually they set up a session were placements opportunities are discussed.

College Events

3.5

The environment is really great, there is U238 group which looks after cultural events of the College. Apart from U238 there are several other sub groups from particular departments who take responsibility of keeping the cultural environment of College alive and enthusiastic.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. Not much expensive also they provide concessions for reserved categories. The ones with caste certificate can avail benefit and avoid expense. Apart from that if you're doing a bachelor's of commerce or bsc or ba the fee is really affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about the scholarships or loans facilities offered by Viva College. The only scholarships or loan facility I know of is the scholarship for the SC/ST/OBC and other similar caste. So the ones belonging to the particular reserved categories can avail and benefit themselves.

Campus Life

3.5

Viva College is known for celebrations of all kinds. Be it friendship day, Valentine Day, Independence day, Swacch Bharat Day, there was no lack of celebration. Cultural events were also held to bring about spiritual upbringing in the students. Science Fair is a must-do.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni network of the senior student, known as VESA (Viva Ex-Student Association) is one of the largest alumni association in Virar. It really helps in exchanging knowledge, experiences and skills.

Admission

I was passionate about media and wanted to explore and mass media really helped me in getting to know insights of it. Getting admission in viva College was on basis of result/marks scored in hsc. No additional interview or exam was conducted.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is quite good. Yes, they definitely are qualified in teaching media. All were good. I remember samir sir who was really enthusiastic and his lectures use to keep us hooked throughout. Others were great too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
