college is overall very good related to other college of the country. college provides a good healthy environment for all round devlopment of the students. college provides a good research environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is offered by the ministry of human resource development and is quite good.the course structure is very clear and a balanced one.Course curriculum is also focussed in research works. Exam structure is also good and frequency is moderate,so not so hectic labs are also not moderately frequent.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities of the college is very good. Our college also provide internship opportunities. Lots of companies came in the placement season and the stipends offered is also good. Companies like amazon,ge,oracle ,ola ,jio,oneplus ,uhg optum ,adobe came in placement.

College Events

Our colleges has a lot of fest for multilevel devlopment of the students. There are 3 fest additionally there are branch fest also for different branch student.there is a sports fest ,a cultural fest and also a technical fest in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is quite good and clear. The college is less expensive in comparison to other engineering colleges of india. The fee is 82,000 per semester which also include accommodation cost. The mess fee is 16000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship there are lots of scholarship provided by the government of india which are available for our institute. Loans are easily available for the students of our college there is a branch of sbi in our college for this purpose

Campus Life

Gender ratio is maintained in our college by the scheme of mhrd that is reservation in seats for girls to maintain gender ratio, lots of workshop are also organised in our college, there is a well organized structure for sports and cultural activities.

Hostel Facilities

I have opted for the hostel. Its quite good and hostel infrastructure is very good. Hostel rooms are big enough it is sharing for 1st year students with 2 students in each room. From 2nd yr onwards rooms are alloted on the basis of 1 room per student

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of our college is very strong. Our college organize annual alumni meet to interact with alumni of our college. Our college seniors are very helpful and support us on every stage of our progress in college

Admission

A counselling is been done by a government body josaa in which seat is alloted in various rounds. After allotment of seat college physical reporting is required. After admission process is done.Seat confirmation is also required during counselling process in which you have to report at nearest national institute physically and submit all the documents to be verified.

Faculty

The faculty of college are too good. There are well educated faculties.also lab assistant are well experienced and good at all.in brief we can say the teaching facility of the college is good. Facultie are well qualified and intrested in teaching.

Likes

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like my college

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

No night canteen to both the boys and girls in the hostel

I came to this college as a 2nd year lateral entry student . Its a semi government college . The area of improvement include insfarstructure and more faculty member as it has less faculty member than required .

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

From 4 semester onwards you are eligible for placement and internship and most of the students Even get the government jobs and psu and some even in public service commission. The college places 97% of its students.

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment. Life at NIT JAMSHEDPUR

I also got Birla institute of technology Mishra college Ranchi, but because of very high fees I choosed National institute of technology Jamshedpur. Apart from that nit jamshedpur have a good placement record as compared to other colleges that I was getting and it has a little bit of low fees as compared to other private colleges. I wanted to go on IIT Delhi but I what rejected in JEE advanced exam. Apart from this I was selected for any other colleges. And for taking admission in my college a student have to qualify JEE mains exam with good percentile. Then they have to fill jossa counselling for getting admission into colleges where you have to choose NIT Jamshedpur as first preference or an any other college that you want as first preference. Also you have to secure 75% in 12th board of CBSE board students. Otherwise even if you get good percentile in JEE exam still you won't be able to join any NIT college of India. The minimum percentile for getting here is about 97.5 percentile for general student and 96% tile for OBC students...Read More
