Four Year Long Vacation

The curriculum is outdated and doesn't come useful in the recent times.

The course curriculum is outdated to be fair. The research focus is near to none but the student community is one of the strongest in the country. Industrial visits are fairly regular,exam structure is relevant and the checking is very fair. The placements are very good.

The placements are very good. More than 50 companies visit the college for my branch. Usually there are written tests, GDs, and PIs for the recruitment. Around 80-90% students are placed. Institute works hard for the placements for the students.

There are numerous fests organized in the college. There is a technical fest Technosearch, Cultural fest 'Maffick', literary fest, a technical conclave 'chimera', a Hackathon 'Version Beta' in the college. All of these have participation over 1000 students from all across the country.

The program fees is 26434/- per semester for income 1-5 lakh rupees per annum. If the income is lower than 1 lakh rupees per annum then the fees is 5600/- rupees per semester. It is a very reasonable price for a government college. There are no additional charges for admission. Fees has to be paid through SBI collect.

I have available the scholarship as Medhavi Vidyarthi from the state government of Madhya Pradesh. It is a scholarship for students who scored >75% in boards, less than 50,000 in JEE rank.

Campus life is extremely relaxed. All the students live in harmony. The senior junior relationship is the best in the college. All the seniors are helpful to the juniors in all cases. Gender ratio is tight. 6:1 boys to girls. Every thing is very tolerant.

Hostel facilities are very poor. Although some of the newer hostels are good . The older hostels are extremely shabby and too small for comfort. There is a lot of freedom in the hostels. No cameras, checking or interference. There is vehicle parking in all the hostels.

Alumni network is currently being built by some of the alumnus themselves. More often than not the alumnus are extremely helpful.

At first, one is required to appear for JEE-Main examination held in the first week of April. It is a 360-marks exam consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is no subject cut-off as such but there is a rank wise cutoff for the college. I secured around 15000 ranks for the general category. There can be varied for different categories. Electrical engineering is one of the core branches with growth prospects. MANIT has one of the most relaxed atmospheres with scope for all-round growth. There is general counselling after the results on the JoSAA website. It allocates the seat which has to be accepted in the nearby JoSAA centre.

All the lecturers hold PhDs who teach in the institute. They have all the relevant knowledge of their domain. They are possibly some of the best in the country. The number of lectures is sufficient amounting to around 40 lectures per subject in a semester.
