College with good values

Positive remarks - Have high alumni network. Placements are good. Various events such as guest lecture, hackathon held in each couple of months. Negative remarks- Infrastructure is too old. College hostel are not furnished.

Research is not as such practiced in our college. But college also provides MTech in some feilds. Course curriculum is same as of the other engineering colleges as per AICTE guidelines. Exam are held twice a year in the last of each semester.

Placement is average in our college. Many IT companies visits our college for campus placement such as persistent, IBM, TCS etc. Few companies visits our college for providing job opportunities for students of core branches. College does not provide any internships. Stipend of almost 12k is given for the students of Mtech.

Various fests like cultural, sports and technical fest takes place mostly every year. Fests are not so big as compared to the fests of iits and nits. Students participation is average, some students not show their interest in the fests. In almost every semester one fest either technical, cultural or sports fest are held.

Jabalpur engineering college is the cheapest engineering college of Madhya Pradesh with almost 25k per year of fees. Many students opted for various scholarships so they should note have to pay college fess. Apart from this Examination fees of around 3k per year have to pay by every students.

Many scholarships available in our college based on caste. Obc students get Obc scholarship. SC students get SC scholarships. ST students get SC scholarships. Many scholarships are there based on family income such as Mukhyamantri medhavi chatra yojana.

It depends on students whether he/she wants to involve in extracurricular activities such as Labs, sports etc. Sports facilities are good but labs doesn't have proper facilities such as internet etc. Gender ratio is almost 50:50. Many cultural societies are also there such as Raag for music etc. Diversity of students also be seen as students from all over India are present.

Hostel infrastructure is not so good as work is in the process. College Hostel are cheap around 3k per year. Mess charges are not included. Most students doesn't prefer college hostel as facilities are not adequate. Students prefer PG, Rooms and flats for living. Average rental in this case is around 2. 5 k per month. Mess charges are not included.

Alumni network is very high as it is one of the oldest engineering college in India. Founder of HCL, many political leaders are alumni of Jabalpur engineering college. Seniors are very supportive and helpful as compared to faculty.

At first, I appear in JEE (MAINS+ADVANCED) then i applied for MP BE counselling there are two rounds of MO BE counselling. After each round merit list is released and students are allotted a college and branch respectively. If students want to confirm their seat then he/she have to report to the college with allotment letter and other documents.

Supporting faculty is present in our college but in less numbers as some teachers are preparing for their higher studies, some are guest faculties and some are busy in other works. Faculty interaction is not as such but if the student wants any help they seriously guide us.
