My Masters Journey

Personally, I enjoyed the time I was at Sree Narayana Guru Institute. Teaching imparted by the faculty was top-notch and campus life was electric. Everyone is nice around here and the campus is ragging-free, etc. If I have to give any suggestion to the college, I would suggest to invest on infrastructure.

Course curriculum was pretty updated and carefully crafted in order to match pace with rapidly changing landscape of corporate sector. For the first two semester we received a 360 degree view of the corporate, including marketing to finances, from legal to market research. Later I opted for the Marketing and sales profile as my specialisation.

Placement cell provided an ideal platform to meet recruiters from different sectors. Many students from our batch were able to secure a decent package during the on-campus placement. Average packages at SNGIM ranges from 3-6 LPA. Though I didn't sit for the placement process since I was to join my family business, the mock training sessions were indeed helpful in boosting my confidence.

Numerous events like annual day, sports day, freshers, farewell, etc. are celebrated in our college. Students from different departments and different cultural backgrounds take part in different activities like cultural dance, singing, speech, etc. Our college turns culturally beautiful during these events.

I paid 40k on annual basis as my MBA fee. It is one of the most feasible programs in the region and I was pretty satisfied with the fee. I mean, a full time MBA program only for 80k which was far less than fee charged by many private colleges.

Admission to the college was done on the merit basis. Students have to purchase the application form, from the admin department and apply with academic details and entrance scores. I applied with my TANCET score and was invited for a general counselling organised by Anna University.

Faculty was very supportive and above all, they were well qualified. They were very thorough in explaining a particular topic. Assignments and classroom presentations was an effective way of teaching. In fact, our entire day schedule was pretty packed with assignments and presentations.
