I took AIEEE to get into this college, my air rank was 18823 as the college is in my home state and i got ece here that is why i opted for this college.

The course curriculum is decent, pretty much similar to the its as far as electives are concerned this college does not offer any the department has already decided what to teach, so you will learn that subject only(i am talking about ece branch in other branches you have the choice) so you will learn mobile communication in 3rd year and satellite in final year.

Only few companies visited to offer internship tata steel 10k per monthamazon 30k per monthsterlite 10k per month l&t 20k belzabar 30kand few other companies.

Placement is the best part of this college many companies visited every year and the placent percentage is around 85% as far as types are concerned you will find financial, software, core and few psu'sthe top recruiters areworksapp, 32lpaamazon, 28lpasnapdeal, 14lpatrident, 21lpahp, 15lpaaccolite, 11lpade, shaw 15lpaoracletata, steeltata motorshundaihonda, herocomvivazs, associatesand many othersso you don't have to think at all about the placement, surely you will get one from this college the only thing you have to think about is how much package you want.and if you want higher package then you have to prepare for that.

In nit there are two fest so jass tech fest of the college this is the techno management fest of the college the fest is the largest in north india havin participation of around 1500 every year and having prize money of 2o lakhs utkarsh cultural fest of the college this is also a big fest having participation of around 500 and prize money of 10 lakhs apart from this we have athletics meet.

The fee for the current batch is around 70k per semester including the mess and hostel fee which in my opinion is not high keeping the quality of placement the college offers in mind.

College as such doesn't offer any scholarship but if you are a sc or st candidate then the college will not take the tution fee you only have to pay the mess and hostel fee.

The campus life is very much similar like any other college. you can join from varieties of club according to your interest if you are are interested in technicals the you can join car making teams or rc plane making teams of the college you can also do social service by joining sankalp(an ngo inciative of nit jsr) if you are interested in sports then you can join various sports team also.

The hostel rooms are good and have all the facilities you don't have to go for pg's in first and second year you have to share yur room with 3 other people, in third year the room will be shared between two and in final year you will get a single room two

The alumni base of the college is very strong the college organize alumni meet every year alumni of this college are very helpful, they give funds to the teams of the college and alsoto sankalp.

Except few the faculties are not as per the standards of nit specially in ece and cse branch but you will not regret that because the environment of this college is very good if you are someone who wants to read then you will easily get lectures from npte
