Remarks

College infrastructure is average. Studies is good. Management is great. Fests are at great scale. And very good for mining and petroleum students. Campus placement is above average. Teaching is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Cource curriculum is old but good. Gpa are based on credit points on the subject. Ogpa is the average gpa of the year. Attendance is 75% compulsory. The more you score. The better gpa you will get.

Placement Experience

Placements are good in Computer science, petroleum, electronics. And mining & electrical (they are average) College provides intership upto every branch students. One or two internship is common If you wish to have.

College Events

Srijan the cultural fest. Concetto the technical fest. Basant the alumni fest. And then there are branch fests. Which goes on for the year. Like mining fest. Electrical fest. Mechanical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is actually feasible There are many types of scholarships available. You can get any of those if you find difficulty in fee payment. Scholarship Like when your family is having less income (<6lacs pa)

Fees and Financial Aid

If you get in the college The banks will call you and offer you for loans(which would be santioned within a day even) Its really fast service. Otherwise you can go to the scholarship website and avail different kinds of scholarships.

Campus Life

Sports - badminton, chess, lawn tennis, table tennis, shooting, golf Activity - ncc's , nss's Labs - electrical labs(16 labs total), Electronics lab Computer science lab Mining lab Communication lab And many more others.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rates are good. Hostel is beautiful. But there are problems such as There is a small room And you have to live in pairs. No one lives in single room. Mess is there Along with water cooler.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful. Alumni factor is very pre dominant. Alumni comes to college ab basant fest. And many of them Comes in college placements. So its better to know them. Cause it will help you at the very end.

Admission

First clear the jee mains examination. And then jee advance examination. Then you elegible for councilling. Then fill the councilling sheet online with dhanbad in the list(actually its your choice, what's your priority) Them take the admission.

Faculty

Faculties are old. Therefore good quality teaching is done. (Like old is gold) Some teachers are excellent. Like mathematics. While some are average in teaching (but there classes are very interested)

BIT Mesra is Musical!!

Placement Experience:

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

Placement Experience:

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is Magical!!

Placement Experience:

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. HUL, Sun Pharma, public limited labs and various R&D research centres are those that have helped us to get best available jobs in market as the competition is high but BIT Mesra has still managed to place over 80% students last year.

BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

IIT dhanbad the untold story

Placement Experience:

the placement rate depends on branch.some branches like cse,ese will have a high placement rate and for small branches like mechanical and chemical will have less placements .the highest package is around 60lpa.

Read this before joining BIT Sindri.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities is decent for students. The placement of BIT sindri varies from branch to branch but the core brances like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering has evergreen placements. Among the eligible students around 90 percent students get placed. But in branches like civil and production engineering, its not the same. They have very low placement rate around 20 to 30% of eligible students get placement. For CSE, IT & ECE the placement is highly dependent on the situation of market and it varies early. The students are eligible from 6 the semester onwards for placement . The placement drive starts from August or September and companies visit till students graduate. The top recruiters are TCS with more than 80 students from overall campus , TATA power nearly 20 , LNT, JSW , Vedanta , TATA STEEL, JSL, ADANI, ABG , Shyam steel and For it sector companies like samsung , cognisant, hitachi, TCs, Spyder visited for 2k21 batch. For the batch 2020-2024 among batch size of 710 around 620 offers were made. The highest package is given by samsung which is around 28 LPA , students of CSE, IT, ECE and Electrical are eligible. For IT sector average package is around 6 lakhs. For core sectors companies heightest package is offered by vedanta to Electrical, Mechanical, Mining which is around 14 lakhs average package is around 7 LPA.. Around 75- 80 percent students get placed during campus placement drive. The Wish to crack GATE and join PSU after my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is slightly outdated due but still it isnrelevant due to research oriented branch. The areas they can improve is by adding practical subjects more than theoretical one. Exams are conducted twice every semester with easy to moderately moderate difficulty level.

All things to be considered before taking admission in BIT

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students are eligible for placement the companies visited are google,jindal,TCS, aakash,PWetc.the highest package offered was 25LPA and the average was 5-6LPA.the place percentage was 60-70% because there are students who is preparing for civil services,GATE,etc.My plan was to crack GATE and get placed in one of the PSU's.

BIT Mesra Review in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6th sem students are eligible for placements. All major tech giants you name it like Google, Microsoft,Walmart,Atlassian,Flipkart,Visa,Texas Instruments,Arcesium,Salesforce..... etc do visit the campus for the placement and around there are around 250+ companies visiting. Highest offered was around 51 lakhs and average for CSE is around 21Lakhs. Percentage of students placed is close to 90%.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
