Remarks

Good remark is of course from my side in the fields of academics, Cultural activities and extracurricular extivities. Bad remark is only for less interaction with the seniors.

Entrance Preview

JKCET( Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test) This exam is Jammu and Kashmir state examination used for getting addmisson in various PG/UG courses including engineering , management, architecture etc. Mainly this exam conducted in the month of april and the result declared after 2 months.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is consider as the best college of Jammu in private colleges. The curriculum is totally based on university of jammu.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. My college provide internship only for engineering students. This internship is provided at the end of 3rd year having duration of 60 days. No extra fees is required for this. I completed my internship from HCL and some of my friends completed its training from EMPHASIS, TCS, Infosys etc. Overall experience was fine because i didn't feel something strange because most of the students belong to my college also.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is good because there are various mass recruiters are there like HCL, INFOSYS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, TECH MAHINDRA and many more. Even they recruit more than 150 students in a single drive. Job opportunity is also very fine and placement of all CS/IT is 80% and can say for other branches it is about more than 50%. This is fine as compare to other college in Jammu. Even they are trying for other companies also and hence placement graph incresing day per day.

College Events

3.5

This college is best in regards of events celebration. For warm welcome of freshers there is fresher party which always entertain by some celebrities. And the Annual fest also conducted by college which is in collaboration with DJ Night. Management festival are comparatively less than cultural and technical festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is about 80K for engineering students per annum. I consider this is feasible because some of the colleges is too expensive i.e 1.4 lakh per annum. From the start of the semester i.e first semester the fees is 85k and then the fees remain same till 6th semester after that due to placement and extra allowances the fees is increases by 5k and hence on an average the fees for this college is 80k per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide scholarship and loan only for those students who are in need after some exam conducted in college for scholarship. But Jammu and kashmir govt. provide state scholarship to all those students whose family annual income is less than 50k. And scholarship is also avilable but only for the students comes under below poverty line and hence most of the student in this college is not able to take this scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very good because of great infrastructure. Gender ratio is about 60:40(male to female). As i already explain about the extracurricular activities which is good as per the requirements. Sports meet always conducted in the month of september-october. Robotics and debates competition mostly conducted during college fest only i.e during feb-march.

Hostel Facilities

4

Separate hostel facility is available for girls and boys having fees about 70k per annum. The mess food is average and rooms are available in both sharing basis or non sharing basis. There are 3 seater 2 seater and single seater rooms are available but wi

Alumni/Alumna

Here is some negative Feedback. Contacts with seniors is very less because there is separate hostel for senior and junior and no way of communication is done with college help. Alumini is somehow easy to contact if you need to.

Exam Structure

Course curriculum is per the Jammu state i.e university of Jammu,This curriculum include conceptual knowledge in either fields. During 1st year the course is same for all the branches. Exam structure is based on semester examination and there is No CGPA b

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
